I read a post else where that stated high heel shoes are not allowed?

IS this true?

I sometimes wear a high heel ( wedge) sandle. Dh is 6'4 and I am 5'1, so its just something I do.

thanks:confused3

You probably read that "heelies" are not allowed. Those are the shoes that have built in wheels, like sneaker/roller skates. Disney does not allow those in the parks.

High heeled shoes for women are fine. I always wear wedges, too. IMO, they are more comfortable than flats.

what about the guys? if they can wear Crocs why not platforms;)

OT - had several acquaintances offended who couldn't wait to bring to my attention the fact that DL is performing commitment ceremonies:confused3 go for it imo; Disney is happy to take everyone's money.:thumbsup2

As long as they don't have wheels in them I'm sure we can wear whatever we want.

My wife hates it when I wear high heels, as I'm already much taller than her.
I think it's fine, as long as I remember to match them to my purse.

Got it, no wheels and matching purse( handbag)

thanks again

I did read on another post not high heels ...strange.

you know I don't know it was against the rules - either does a whole bunch of parents - on my last 5 trips - there has been at least one - if not several (10 or more) that is using these shoes....

but I can understand the parents - these were the kids who weren't kepting up with the rest of the family and being told to come on....oh yes teenagers...

The only time teenagers are faster than you want is when they are driving. Damn kids!

Have any of you seen the website of pictures of shoes that people have worn to the parks. It's called badshoe.com. go check it out, it's pretty funny.

heels are fine...people need to realize that some people are more comfortable in heels or heeled shoes.

Yep. I looked at the badshoes.com site, and I'm a little confused. Some of those shoes look great, and don't (to me) look uncomfortable. Others, I agree, are wince-worthy. But what the site hosts cite as "good shoes" are white leather sneakers. I don't find those comfortable at all--too hot and (IMO) ugly. :scared: That's what I wear for running, but if I wore them all day, my calves and Achille's tendons would be screaming. I'm not planning on wearing 8-in. heeled fetish boots to the park (or anywhere for that matter):rotfl: but a nice 2 to 3-in. wedge sandal with decent support works for me!
Maybe I'll see my feet on the web! :woohoo: :lmao:

I couldn't wlak in heels to save my life and I am a girl! The flatter the better in my book!
I did see alot of heelies at the park though too.
I think it depends on the person for what is comfy. I know my aunt ONLY wears heals too. She can't walk in a tennis shoe at all.

Whew.....I looked at that site expecting to see my pictures. I cannot wear flats or sneakers all day. I get such back aches. But, hey I logged over 10 miles in NYC in these shoes.
