Dish Network offers HD programming for an additional $10 per month. I think the package has about 20 HD channels.

Sometimes they run promotions which offer it for free for a limited time with purchase of new equipment or with a new subscription or add-on.

I'm not sure many people get this...even if the broadcast is in HD, if you don't have an HDTV, you won't get HD. Heck, we have an HDTV but our cable company doesn't send an HD signal (except on about 4 channels) so even the regular network stuff that is broadcast in HD isn't received in HD...sometimes I wonder what's the point!?!?

We're looking into the dish stuff...but haven't made the move yet...
