As many others have said, lots of toddlers the world over have used regular potties without a problem - yes, you may have to hold her or lift her up, but it's really not a big deal at all - certainly a lot less hassle than dragging a baby potty all over the place.
Another option is the child care centers. They have tiny kid-sized potties. They aren't always convenient, though, ot where you happen to be.

If you aren't comfortable with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and felt the need to use the disposable mats on the last cruise, I'm going to guess that you won't be comfortable with the high chairs at WDW either, so you should plan on bringing whatever you need for your daughter to sit at a table.

You said in the OP you have a shopping cart cover--I have one, too, but it doubled as a high chair cover. There was no need to ever pull dirty straps through the clean cover. The cover just ties onto the high chair at various places and the cover has its own straps that you use as a harness. I'm not germaphobe, but the nastiest part of a public high chairs are the straps, IMO! But, my DD is 2yr and we stopped using the cover a long time ago b/c of the hassle. I agree that a travel booster + booth is the best for us, but we've moved on to just the booth and no booster at this point. ETA: I love those disposable mats. Not for my own germ aversion, but it makes me feel better to dispose of my child's mess without leaving it for my server!

I really don't want to jump on the potty train, but 4 months is a long time--I would think it would be a goal of yours to have your DD trained on a big potty in that amount of time. I am guessing she isn't in child care that requires the use of regular potties?

I have the same time thing - found it at WalMart! We don't use it anymore either (DD is 19 mos), but it was useful. Nowadays, we also try to get booths. She will sometimes sit in a booster, but often she just stands on the booth.

OP - we have both a small potty and a travel potty seat. DD is not trained yet, but she has gone in the potty before. The travel potty seat folds up really small, but it doesn't require any more balance than the baby potty - I think that's what you were concerned about! It is about the same size seat as the baby potty.

My son decided to potty learn all by himself and except for the occasional night accident he's 100% good to go. We're going to Disney in Sept and I was worried about how he'll do with not having his little potty to use so we've started to use the regular toilet at home and trying to get him comfortable using public toilets. It's been going great, I straddle him on the toilet and crouch near him and he's good to go. You have a while until your vacation, why not just start working on using the regular toilet? It's going to have to happen eventually. As far as high chairs we stopped using them around 2, he sits/stands in a booth or sits on our lap. He's happy, we're happy.

i tried her on the adult potty at home today and she wanted down right away. I bought her a potty seat that fits on a regular toilet today from amazon. it has handles built in, so hopefully that will help her get used to the regular one. 4 months is a LONG time as far as in DD's development, so i'll try not to make up my mind now because she could/will be a lot different in November.

Having her on our lap or next to us would be good but like on our other vacations it was hard for me to eat with her on my lap, and on the booth seat she couldn't reach the table so i had to spoon feed her. If the high chairs look too gross then i'll just do that. Maybe by then she'll be tall enough. She's 34.5 inches now.

I just am a planner and try to get it all planned in my mind, as you all know planning is a big part of the trip, but i'll have to see how different she will in Nov.

DD and I watched some of my old vacation videos and other MVMCP videos and she was SUPER excited, i can't wait until she sees it all in person. She says castle and the characters names in the video. I keep telling her she is going to WDW in 4 months! well 3 months tomorrow. Not quite 4 months anymore.

When my DS was almost 3 and newly potty trained DH would take him in the Mens bathroom as many had kid sized urinals, he thought it was awesome.

I did get a pretty good chuckle from her reply though with the thought of my daughter carrying her full-to-the-brim poopy potty vessel to the sink and shoving the poop down the drain.

I hate Disney sinks and their counters. They are always covered in water from people washing their hands. I can't put my purse down anywhere on the counters. This is something I'm not looking forward to on our upcoming trip with DD. Usually I wash her hands, then put her on the counter next to the sink, wash mine, and then leave. Can't do that there unless I want a soppy bottom for the rest of the day!

Thanks for commenting on this. I was planning on making a wristlet and sounds like I made the right choice!

I did not know this! I'll have him take him and try that.

Won't the wristlet just dangle in the water on the counter anyway? I use cross-body bags or backpacks. Nothing that dangles down over a counter.

We have the seat with handles, too. DD always grabs onto them for dear life, lol. :) GL!

I can push the strap up my arm and over my elbow. Does that make sense? Will it work?
