Are all the high chairs the standard wooden ones? Would it be good to bring our own high chair sitting pad?

Yes, they are all wooden, and they are the ones with low backs, so I don't know how good bringing a chair pad would be. I can't see how you could make it fit.

Yes, all the high chairs are the typical wooden ones you see in most restaurants, no tray and pull up to the tables. Unless your child is very young and just starting to use a high chair I wouldn't bother with the seat. IMHO you have enough to carry around without adding anything that isn't totally necessary. Maybe keep it at the resort for planned longer meals or characther meals at the reosrts but I can't see lugging it through the parks for quick serve etc.

Have fun.

We went Jan, 2003 with a 13month old son - this year Jan, 2004 going to purchase a fold down booster chair to stick in back pack for quick serve, outdoor sitting, and eating at hotel room.
I do not believe it will be a bother in carrying it around. be convientent - easy to clasp and very handy... Then he can be up to the table or sitting like on the chairs/ tables on the train station balcony having our popcorn, drink waiting for the afternoon parade and not sitting down below everyone looking up to the adults.
