High Beds, Limited Mobility

We are traveling on the Fantasy with four grandparents. Two of them have limited mobility. How do they manage they higher beds on the Fantasy? What has been your experience?

The "high" beds on the Dream-class ships aren't really high. They are easy enough to just sit on when getting on/off.

The mattresses don't have box springs, so in reality it is not really any higher than an average bed. I would be more concerned with the step up into the bathrooms and the narrow door into the stateroom (in a regular room) that may impede the use of a mobility aide like a walker, wheelchair or scooter.

My mother who uses a wheelchair prefers to use the couch bed instead of the higher beds on the Dream and Fantasy. The wood frame is higher than her bed at home and makes for an uncomfortable transfer for her.
