I just booked HIFS at a rate of $149 for Dec 31-Jan3. I have priority club points to cover 1 night.

Anyway-I have 3 girls and was wondering if I should request a specific theme. I am assuming there are lots of different ones.

Thanks,

Cindy

HIFS is a great place and your sure to enjoy it. However the theaming in the rooms realy just consists of different wallpaper in the kids room. There is a jungle theme, coke-cola rooms, disney characters....etc. After a few hours we did'nt even notice it....TAZ

Just came back from HIFS today and I must say we didn’t want to leave! The hotel is great! We had the “Endangered Florida Birds” theme and like the previous poster said after a few hours we didn’t even notice the theme.

We had a great WDW theme and loved every minute of it!!!

Any ideas about when the theme changes to Nickelodean? We are going in late August. The reservationist said the renovation will be done by then, but I read on their website it won't be until 2005. Will we be there in the middle of big construction???

We are going back there in October and I just got off the phone with the reservation desk about the same thing. I was told that the hotel will be remodeled in sections and the sections that will be under constructions at that time will be closed off. So you should be all set during your stay.

We have requested a specific theme in the past but have not been too successful in getting what we asked for. You might be successful if you are going at a really slow time.

If I were you, I would ask for a specific building or floor rather than a specific theme. All of the suites are cute.

Some people like to be close to the main building so the walk to breakfast is shorter. Others like to be on the first floor so they don't have to wait for the elevators. Others like to have a pool view (this usually costs more unless you get a free upgrade - personally, I think the pool side of the buildings is too noisy).

My kids have enjoyed all of the themes we have been in. It can't hurt to ask for something specific, however, if your kids have something special they are really into.

Enjoy your stay!!

I so agree with Disneymom. Especially the time of year you're going when the mornings are a little nippy.

Boy have times changed. When I went back in 2000 we paid about $60 a night for a kid's suite!
