Hi,

We're going to visit friends in Orlando in Nov., and we'll be hitting the parks. I'm bringing my DS and his friend - they will be 16 & 17 respectively. We've booked at the HIFS and I'm wondering - is this a good place for teens? Everyone talks about how great it is for the little kids. The reservation agent made sure to put us in the suite with the twin beds and not the bunk beds (that would be too funny to imagine!). We're not staying at the DVC this year because we're banking for the cruise.

Any tips for teens hitting that hotel?

Thanks,
Baileymouse

HIFS will be fine for teens. There is a game room where most of them seemed to congregate. There is also minuture golf and ping pong by the pool as well as table games to rent, Free video games in room etc... plus the location is close to DD which is whereI would think most teens would want to hang out while you are discretly watching from a distance.....We're going back for our 4th time in Aug

Hi !!

I've never stayed there, but I've seen loads of pictures from it.

I think it's fine, but as a 20-year-old, I would rather stay in a more "adult" hotel.
I think, that to compare for example Sheraton's Vistana Villages ( booked through www.hotelkingdom.com ) at a rate that says: 138,70 dollars with the 7th night free, to HIFS, I would rather stay at VV. It's more deluxe - and actually not that far away by car to Disney.

VV is at the south end of Int'l Drive. Close to Premium Outlets.

But that's just me.... Oh, and the I-ride Trolley is just outside the window, and takes you to all the shops on I-Drive.

The room with twin beds will come with a CD player,Nintendo 64,games are $5.00 per 24 hrs.,and a 25 in tv. I think you will have a hard time getting them to leave the room!!

Hi MiniMissMinie!
AHHHHHHHHHH YOUTH!!!!! I WISH I WAS 20 AGAIN!!!!
I am not trying to be a wise guy , if you inform us the ages of you group it's easier to suggest a resort.
If I were 20 again I would try to get into a basic room at the Epcot Resorts, Boardwalk, Swain or Dolphin, where you can take in Boardwalk Attractions and not far from Disney Downtown, Epcot, and Disney Studios.
I suggest you try and tour ALL the DISNEY HOTELS
while on you trip so you can get a better idea for future trips the location you want to reside.
Use a rainy day using monorail and buses or try inspecting a hotel on your way back to your room after the parks close each night , especially Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness lodge which are a little of the beaten path.
ENJOY!:bounce:

Thanks, everyone, I'm sure the guys will have a great time.
I'm looking forward to trying the hotel.
