HIFS Major remodeling

Do you know if the remodeling of the HIFS started already? I'm just wondering if part of the hotel will be closed due to construction. I'd hate to go and find out the pools are closed and all the kids' activities are not being offered. We're planning a trip during Thanksgiving week. I emailed the hotel and asked what the situation will be during that time. If anyone stayed there recently, pls let me know how it is. Thanks!

We were there last week (3/17 thru 3/23). The only thing really going on right now is that they have a section of the parking closed down on the Continental Gateway side of the resort to begin construction of the new lobby. It gets a little difficult to find a spot when you come back from the parks late!

I noticed that they had the room numbers off a section of the rooms on that side of the resort also and would guess those are the rooms being refurbished right now.

By Thanksgiving, maybe you will be lucky enough to get a refurbished room!
