Hiding Vomit in Your Closet - eek!!

If I remember correctly, the woman on Intervention said the reason she stored her vomit in bags instead of flushing was because she feared that it wouldn't all flush and her family would see how much she was purging. I'm not sure if this was the only reason, but I seem to remember this being one of the main reasons.

Ok, this is officially the grossest thing that I have ever read on the dis. :crazy2:
Oh, yea, right up there, I am sick just reading about it. :sad2: I HATE to throw up, and if I do, its because I am REALLY sick, so I don't "throw up" on a whim.

Can't hide vomit in the closet anymore...will have to store in vacuum bag. ;) :teeth:

An anorexic girl I sometimes work out with (she's there a lot, that's how she keeps herself skeleton-like...seriously, I even call her Skelly) says she throws up only if she eats too much. Too much, of course, is probably 1/2 of a Happy Meal. She's pretty up-front with me about her activities and how they're ruining her life. I'm going to have to ask if she saves her vomit.

Some of the people at the Y throw her out. They don't want to be responsible for the death she is zooming toward.

It is gross and funny and sad all at once. Vomit in the closet. Blech.

Hiding vomit in the closet??? I thought I had heard it all until I read this one!!! I wonder how no one in the family discovered the bags of yuk in the closet. Hmmm...makes you wonder.

I remember an HBO: Lifestores - Families in Crisis (or something like that) about a girl who did this. The girl was played by Calista Flockhart, in her pre Ally McBeal days.

That is extremely sad. Talk about hitting an all-time low in your life. Good to hear the woman is recovering. It's so sad the way a distorted body image can result in such extreme behavior.

I was just thinking about that. I remember watching that too. It was quite a while ago.

Well, I watched the show. I thought it was pretty good. I did not realize the pain and self loathing associated with it was so intense.

I hope that lady gets healthy.
