Hide/Find a Penny Thread

Maybe you will find a penny I hide since we leave the day you arrive If you decide to hide a penny let me know where and I'll post it on the first page!

Sounds good if you could just PM me when you hide them. I will definitely look for them.

I am wondering if it would be more fun for the kids if they could actually take the penny home. So, how would that happen?

1) For starters, we could have a rule: "Take a penny, leave a penny."

2) Another option would be to NOT post locations publicly. Rather, people could use this board to post their willingness to participate. Then, someone else could PM them and say that they are going to hide the pennies and give locations. The whole thing would be between those two people. Whenever you go to Disney, you would find someone here to hide pennies for you, and then you'd respond to someone else's request and you would hide for them.

The "take a penny, leave a penny" rule is probably easiest to do.

I like the idea of us making our own Mickey Head Penny and leaving it in place of the one found. If you make two then you can hide the other one you made in a new location. You still can keep the one you found, or keep searching and replace the found one with that first found penny.

I actually sat this up with another person on the boards. She was kind enough to make one with a special message on it for my daughter. I won't mention names incase she doesn't want me to but I am so happy she is doing it. She will be there the week before us.

I will be leaving a couple while I am there also. We are going Jan 29- Feb 6th if anyone would like me to pass along the fun for their kids just PM me before we leave.

We did this for years, and they were always gone-BUT it was at least 6 months between visits, so you have a much better chance of success. A lot of ours were in a ride que. Suspect they must come through with strong "leaf blower" type things because they were really hidden well and high up. Good luck-sounds fun.

I'll be there March 5-13 hiding pennies. When I get back I'll post on the first page where I put them.
