Hidden Mickeys

I think I know what these are, but can someone confirm, and help me to explain them to my kids? I think looking for them will help keep them from getting bored when we are in line, walking around, etc. The UG doesn't mention them in their index. Is there a website I can look at and print out?

I was just in Barnes and Noble over the weekend, and there was a great book telling about all the hidden Mickey's in the parks. Maybe check that out? It could be good reading for the flight if you are flying down!

I love looking for hidden mickeys and the ones I've already found before. They are really fun to find. Steve M. Barret has 2 books with all of the hidden mickeys in them. I haven't got the second one yet but can't wait.

Actually, Steve Barrett's books do not have all the hidden mickeys in them, but a good portion. There are official hidden Mickeys (like the one in the Grim Reaper's Hand in the graveyard in the Haunted Mansion) and unofficial hidden Mickeys (such as the plates on the table in the swinging wake section of the Haunted Mansion -- they are placed by cast members and are not part of the imagineer's design). Disney doesn't have an accurate count of the hidden Mickeys because of the official and unofficial ones. It is a lot of fun looking for them and have fun doing it!
