Hidden Mickeys

Can someone help me out with this? I keep hearing people talk about hidden mickeys. What is it? What is the purpose of finding these? Are their prizes? Special pins?

there are hidden mickeys all over in the parks. some easy to find some difficult to find. It seems that they can make a hidden mickey out of just about anything. The prize you speak of is knowing that you are finding them, and when you find a tough one, its kinda magical . As for pins, there are special pins that also contain hidden mickeys. Those are what most people like to collect.

I don't believe there's any prizes to be won... It's just plain ol fun looking for things that alot of people walk by and NEVER notice. I think if you started looking you'd be suprised at all the hidden mickey's you can find.

No prizes, it's just something fun to do. Some of us that have been to Disney many times like to find new things to do on our trips. That's where hidden mickeys sometimes come into play. and tons of other sites! But be careful, once you start looking for hidden mickeys in WDW, you'll find them in everyday life as well. It's an obsession, LOL.

We just got back from our first trip to WDW and found some Hidden Mickeys. We need to go back and find more! LOL We found some on our own, and a few cast members pointed some out to us as well. While standing in line for a ride I saw a gal with a book about Hidden Mickeys in her back pocket...you may want to check out the library!

Hidden Mickeys can be a full silouette or the "classic" Mickey big circle for the head and two smaller circles for the ears. They can also be just body parts (like the Mickey feet in the Great Movie Ride). You can find these classic Mickeys all over the place. They can be in architecture, in movies within the park (like Soarin') or even in landscaping (there are usually hidden Mickey's in the landscaping as part of the flower and garden festival every year. Happy hunting. We have so much fun looking for Hidden Mickeys. Oh yeah, and there can also be hidden Minnie's, Donald's, Goofy's etc... but those are rather rare.

We spend our times in line searching for Hidden Mickeys. It is an obsession!! I was explaining to one of my DS friends about Hidden Mickeys while we were on the HM, and as he was looking at me as if I were crazy, there one was as plain as day. They also sell a book at the parks, resorts and Downtown Disney.

They are fun to look for, and they really get you to look closely at the detail all over WDW which just makes you appreciate it all the more.
