Hidden Mickeys is so difficult

Has anyone ever tried to find all the Hidden Mickeys at Disneyland and California Adventure. The Hidden Mickey Book does not give very good clues because I only found five Hidden Mickeys out of the whole park. It was frustrating, I just gave up and stopped looking for them. How many Hidden Mickeys have any of you ever found and where did you find them at?

Some of them in the book are incredibly difficult (and some are arguably not Mickey's).

So of my favorites:
- Cannon shots on PotC
- Barrels on PotC
- China in HM
- On the clock of IASWH
- In the upstairs floor at Innoventions

To name a few,
Dreams

I love Hidden Mickeys, and I love this website, Hidden Mickeys Guide (link below) - this is a link to the Disneyland/Disneyland Resort Hotels/Mickey & Friends parking structure/Downtown Disney Hidden Mickeys (click on the individual links for photos), but the Hidden Mickeys for California Adventure are on a different page of the website; also, it lists tons of Hidden Mickeys that are not in the official book and potential Hidden Mickeys and explains what qualifies as one:

And here is one of my favorite Hidden Mickeys, in the Grand Californian Hotel. It is hard to see if you don't know it's there and where exactly to look for it!:

This is another favorite Hidden Mickey of mine, but a much more obvious one than the one I posted above!:

Sherry, it took me a very long time (well, not very...) to find the one in the confectionery sign. How awesome! :thumbsup2

Actually, I found the one on the clock faster :rotfl2:

LOL. I thought it was just me! I found the clock one quickly, but the sign took a few seconds to think through and find.

:rotfl2: That's so interesting that you all had a harder time with the Marceline's sign!! I thought it was much easier! See, I had shown both of those photos to a friend of mine, and she instantly spotted the Marceline's Mickey, but she zeroed in on what she thought was the Hidden Mickey in the GCH clock - only to find out that what she thought was the Hidden Mickey in the clock at first glance was not the Hidden Mickey I was trying to get her to see!! So she had to go back and look at the clock a second time to see the actual Hidden Mickey!! I just assumed everyone would look at the sign and the clock the same way!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Also that book has several levels of "game play". First they give you clues. But in the back they list where they can be found. I've tried doing it myself too and I'm not very good at it. I found one in Monsters Inc. It was a hard to see one and I was thrilled with myself to be able to find it. ;)

Where on Monsters Inc

you can also ask the CM's b4 you ride and usually they can give you a general idea where to look..but that's only for the hidden ones on rides

So I found the sign easier than the clock.....I had to tilt my head quite a few times

The Hidden Mickey in the clock is actually easier to spot in the photo that I posted than it is in person! It is so faint that if you are just passing by the clock at a normal pace, you have to catch it at just the right angle and light to see it. It is a regular Mickey head icon, normal shape and everything, but it is just a very, very faint imprint. My friend initially thought it was in the hands of the clock, and I told her she was wrong, so she went back and looked and saw the correct one!!

wow that's surprising, we had one CM call another one over when she didn't know where a hidden Mickey was, but I've never had any CM say they didn't know, I'm sorry to hear that.

Did anyone notice hidden mickey on space mountain. They are located on the ride itself, its the speakers.

Where on Monsters Inc

The part where Boo is bopping the bad monster on the head and he changes patterns. If you catch it just right, one of the spots is a Mickey. After I found it, I saw it in the book. But I don't always get to see it. I'm thinking we also so one on Sulley in his spots but can't remember what part.

My sister pointed out the one in the clock when we were there but I don't remember it and I can't see it in the picture.

Oh wow I have to go see that

Look very, very closely at the clock face itself. I think the first inclination is to look at the hands. Ignore the hands completely. Look for the faint outline of Mickey - it is almost like an imprint, as though there had been a Mickey-shaped icon on the clock and it was removed and it left an imprint. That's what you are looking for.

Sulley has a Hidden Mickey on his leg in one of the scenes in the ride. See the link to "Sulley Mickey" on the website I mentioned in an earlier post - this is the DCA page. It has a picture of the Hidden Mickey on Sulley's leg in the Monsters, Inc.:

And again, here is the link to the Disneyland/general Disneyland Resort Hidden Mickeys page on that same website - it even shows you where they are in the parking structure, in Downtown Disney, in World of Disney, gives detailed accounts of where they can be found in the hotels, and of course, in the parks and on rides (definite Hidden Mickeys, possible Hidden Mickeys and also other hidden characters):

Oh yes, I see it now. I thought that was what it was but for some reason couldn't see it until you said that. I kept seeing what looked like a hand print. :)
