What are some of your favorite places to stop and get a quick snack in the parks? I am leaving for Disney next week  and I was wondering what some of your "hidden gems" are...the "must stop to try this" kind of eats.

All of my favorite "hidden gem" type spots to grab some food or drinks are outside of the parks in the resorts, like:

The Wave's lounge in the Contemporary
Crew's Cup Lounge in the Yacht Club
Victoria Falls Lounge in Animal Kingdom Lodge
Kona Island Sushi Bar in the Polynesian
Cabana Bar and Beach Club poolside at the Dolphin
Scat Cat's Club in Port Orleans French Quarter

It's difficult for me to think of something you would call a hidden gem in any of the parks. Because of the exposure on message boards like this, it's pretty hard to find little out-of-the-way places for snacks and such that aren't mobbed by people in the know and incidental tourists. I guess the first thing that comes to mind is the kakigori stand just outside of the Japan pavilion in Epcot. There's usually not a crazy line there, and it is a fun and refreshing treat on a hot day.

Tangerine Cafe in EPCOT
Beaches and Cream
Grand Floridian Cafe
Pepper Market in Coranado Springs
Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace
Pizza Window on the Boardwalk

(Ok, not that hidden, but, we love them).

Best value and good food for counter service - MK - Columbia Harbor House - good shrimp & good value; Cosmic Rays - good options, snack in MK -have to have the original toll house ice cream cookie sandwich at Sleep Hollow next to the Hall of Presidents.

DHS - Not much happening here but I do like to eat lunch at the Dockside counter service - excellent sausage sandwich or chicken caesar salad stuffed in french bread.

EPCOT - Goota try France bake shop - love the eclairs and napoelons. Also like this place for a quick lunch. Norway's bakery for an almond pretzel or rice kreme. My favorite counterservice in EPCOT is the fish and chips for supper at the UK.

Downtown Disney - Gotta go with Wolfgang Puck Express - Love his pizza and the top it off with a hot fudge sundae at Ghiradellis. Shopping works up an appetite you know.

Whatever you choose - enjoy.

Starring Rolls in DHS. There's always a few people eating there, but nothing like what you see at the other CS restaurants. Plus you can get something other than the standard burger/chicken/fries that you see at all the other restaurants. :thumbsup2

Make sure you don't pass up the ESPN club on the Boardwalk resort. You'll be sorry if you do.
Also, I think you should try:
-House of Blues (Downtown Disney)
-Columbia Harbour house (MK)
-Rose & Crown (Epcot)
-Le Cellier (Epcot)
-Beaches and cream (Beach Club resort)
-T-Rex Cafe (Downtown disney)

Have Fun!! :wizard:

my hidden gem is the ice cream place in animal kingdom.. its as you go over to the Dinosaur ride, on your right. It is a little walk up place that has huge and delicious ice cream cookie sandwiches. However, i found out the hard way that they close an hour before the park closes... right as we got there they closed! We didnt get to eat there.. total bummer!!

It is a TS not a counter service but Olivias at OKW is posibly the most underated reseraunt on property. Hardly ever a wait. Love the sweet potato hash at breadfast and the banana french toast is great. At lunch opt for a bowl of soup ( I like the conch chowder) and half a sandwich. Then enjoy it at one of the outside tables. Then take a boat ride to DTD for some shopping or Disney Quest.

For us, it's basically anywhere in Epcot! There are places in every country that have specialty food (and they're pretty decently priced considering)... The schoolbread from the bakery in Norway is AMAZING :cloud9:

Crew's Cup over at the Yacht Club...definitely our hidden gem.

WOW looks like I am coming back a few pounds heavier :lmao:. Thanks for the suggestions. Everything sounds so delicious...I am going to have to pace myself with all this food ;)

Well I'm not sure if these are really all that hidden, but I like:

AK- Dinobites (it's usually not very crowded even on busier days) This is my new spot to get a churro or a float and I like to sit at the seating off to the right of it and put my feet up and just relax for a few.

DHS- The Writer's Stop. I love the items here! If it's not busy, sit at one of the window seats towards the front, enjoy your coffee and (in my case carrot cake cookie sandwich) and people watch:)

MK- gonna vote for Sleepy Hollow. Ice cream cookie sandwich or Mickey waffle:lovestruc We like to go in the evening and sit and look at the Castle while we eat.

Epcot- hmm. Not sure I really have a fav spot here, but I do love to get crepes from the cart in France and find a nice spot around the lake to sit.

Not exactly hidden, but in the Germany pavillion in Epcot WS, we always have to stop in to the Karamell Küche shop and get a cream filled caramel roll. It's kind of like a caramel buckeye, but the caramel is so light and tasty and the marshmallow cream is fantastic!

DHS Starring Roles
Epcot-Margarita Stand in Mexico
Turkey Leg in Frontierland
Any cart with the chocolate covered frozen Banana
Kringla Bakery in Norway OMG

Fish & Chips at Rose & Crown in Epcot...
Columbia Harbor House in MK...
Pizza window at BW...

I really REALLY miss the beaver tails they used to have outside Canada in Epcot :guilty: Bring 'em back!! Please!!
