Hidden gems of staying concierge on the Disney Dream?

Have any of you had any special character interactions in the concierge lounge??

There was a scheduled character meet and greet on the concierge sun deck when we sailed the Fantasy in April. I am not sure if there is a similar type of event on the shorter cruises or not...

Concierge on the Fantasy were amazing last month (and on the Magic in January though no lounge then). It starts out from the beginning when you check in at the concierge area. Then you are escorted onto the ship, taken to the front of the photography line, then escorted onboard and to the concierge lounge for "debriefing". There are beverages and snacks there.

Our young children and caregiver were not traveling concierge but were still included in all of this at staff urging. On busy embarkation day, one of the concierge staff kindly went into the kitchen to hunt down some pre-packaged nut free snacks for my hungry six year old with a tree nut allergy. She even brought a few options so he would have a choice.

They helped us with all sorts of little things and were great problem solvers. They emailed for my placeholder so I didn't have to stand in line. They got us tickets to meet and greets and the character breakfast. They checked on wine tastings, etc., for us. At Castaway Cay, they even retrieved the snorkel bag I accidentally left at our cabana and brought it to the cabana check in hut so I didn't have to go all the way back to the cabana before snorkeling. And I made this request from the lounge on the ship (had gone back to get my underwater camera - forgetful day!) They were able to radio the staff on the island and have it arranged. There were dozens of little things: going to Cabanas to grab more Fruit Loops on debarkation morning, calling to shift an appointment or make a new one. If you plan to go ashore at a port with a tender, you are escorted to the boat (at least on the Magic. We didn't go ashore this time but were asked if we planned to.) I rarely used the lounge but I felt like every time I stepped in, someone made my vacation a little easier. My husband enjoyed the quiet space to relax and have coffee or a drink. And that coffee machine. Oh, yes. A perk all its own.

Our young non-concierge kids and caregiver were always welcome to join us in the lounge and they were invited to the character meet and greet on the sun deck. We tried not to abuse this, though, and didn't bring the kids to the lounge often. And they spent a lot of time in the kids club anyway. But the staff always inquired about them and welcomed them when they were there.

Really, the concierge team tries hard to make things go smoothly. It's hard to enumerate everything they can do or what all the perks are because sometimes you just don't know until it happens (like my snorkel bag).

Sorry for the novel! Lol. Just love the amazing attention to detail and willingness to help at concierge!

We did a back to back recently on the dream and we had a character meet while at castaway cay on the sun deck on both cruises. I think it was 4:30.
