Hidden Gems for TS Meals in EPCOT?

Hi all! I'm a long time lurker but first time poster! I've used these forums to help plan my trips in the past, and now I am ready to post! I am just curious as to what your favorite TS restaurants are in EPCOT? With the usual places (Le Cellier, Chefs, Coral Reef) booked, I'm not left with too many options for the end of March. I'm visiting some friends in Florida and taking advantage of my last spring break in college! I am bringing one of my friends, but she says she is open to anything. She was hoping for Coral Reef but that is not an option this late in the game. So, any suggestions or recommendations for EPCOT (or EPCOT resort area) would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Teppan Edo in Japan or Biergarten in Germany or walk over to Flying Fish at the Boardwalk.

I would second the previous poster's selections. Also, I would recommend you avoid the San Angel Inn. We just had dinner there this past Saturday and were very disappointed with the service and selections.

IF you have the patience of a saint, keep calling.
Especially for just 2 people- something is bound to open up. If you don't mind eating dinner super-early or super-late your chances are pretty good.

We actually managed to find dinner for 6 people on Thanksgiving at the last minute at Flying Fish- never woulda thunk it... so hang in there!

We really enjoy Chefs de France at lunch time, have you tried that?

Thanks for the tip about calling back, I'll definitely try that.

Also, I would love to go back to Chefs - went there last March with the fam- but it is also booked.

Also, check the thread for ADRs that others DISers don't want for your time period. We were able to pick one up for Le Cellier last week. Our trip was planned at the last minute and I couldn't get a Le Cellier ressie through WDW dining. This method worked great for us!

For lunch Restaurant Marrakesh is usually wide open and is quite good... very immersive experience. The Garden Grill is another good choice that generally flies under the radar. I really enjoy Beaches & Cream at the Yacht Club too. For dinner how about the Yachtsman, Shula's, or Flying Fish.

IN EPCOT, world showcase, Chefs de France, Germany, Morroco, Le Bistro, San Angel Inn.

EPCOT resort area...Flying Fish, IL Mulino, Blue Zoo, Big River

Take a cab to Artist Point, Jiko, or Raglan Road in DTD.

I love, love, love Biergarten and have never had any trouble getting an ADR there. It is a buffet with a wide food selection (mostly German of course) and the desserts are to die for. No kidding, my idea of heaven is the Bavarian Cheesecake.

my vote is for tokyo dining as the most underrated, excellent epcot restaurant. great food, outstanding service.

I agree with the Biergarten. We were in the same predicament in Dec when we booked an unexpected, last minute trip. The Biergarten had openings. We loved it. They have good food and a show. Plus, the price is less than many EPCOT restaurants. We did lunch. Debby

I would second Biergarten or Marrakesh. In the Boardwalk area, I would suggest Spoodles. Personally, I prefer the 'exotic-ness' of the places in the WS.

I agree with the Biergarten supporters, it's good food and lots of fun - what better place for dinner during Spring Break than an 'outdoor' beer garden during Octoberfest?

I also enjoy Spoodles on the Boardwalk, and Captain's Grill at the Yacht Club, both of which are a short walk/boat ride outside the back gate of Epcot.

Teppan Edo is very good. And a very pleasant surprise for us was the Captains Grille at the YC. We stayed there a few weeks ago and tried the Captains Grille and it was one of our better dining experiences of the week.
