Of course you are going to have the expenses of dress, tux, rings, room and park tickets. But as far as our actual ceremony and wedding package the only thing that we paid extra for was the Cake Server and Knife that we bought and we paid $50 to upgrade our cake.
I don't know if they might charge a fee to bring chairs etc out to Sunset Point, someone will have to confirm that, as I'm just guessing, it may well be included in the cost?
Chair covers would be an additional cost though, as well as any extra floral, and any decorations you want at the Chef's Domaine.
Trying to think...........
Oh yes - we are going to request silk too, will have to remember this one!I had my flowers in silk as well as my girls flowers in silk and I think it was an extra $200 on top of the included floral, I did add alot of hidden crystal mickey's!
I presume that there is also no charge for the same service at SBP then? No, there is no charge to bring the chairs out to Sunset Point. They will set it up with chairs and a little reception area. I requested that no chairs be brought out since it was only DH, DD and I. I didn't want empty chairs in our pictures.
There is no charge for setting up chairs at SBP. We had chairs set up for our guests and a table for our memorial candle, no charge for any of that. We did have to pay to rent 2 columns for our "altar" arrangements.I presume that there is also no charge for the same service at SBP then?
Sorry Claire, for hijacking your thread a wee bit, but it's a very good question you've asked!![]()
Depending on where you're eating there might be a 21% service charge.
No hidden costs!!! You only pay extra for things you add on!
I pulled my budget... we had a full blown Escape, so we had LOTS of extra expenses which aren't necessarily applicable to everyone.
Here are some things you will need to budget for:
officiant fee, marriage license (not sure how this works for UK brides? The license is a little over $90 in FL.), wedding rings, undergarments for your gown (if you need a crinoline or hoop skirt), jewelry, stationery (invitations, announcements, if you want programs, menus, but I think Chef's Domain does those for you), any upgrades you may want (cake, floral), "reception" dinner (I believe you will pay a $650 minimum, plus 18% automatic gratuity, and 6.5% tax), additional photography & videography (we had Randy Chapman and STVS), additional beverages at the cake reception at your ceremony site (we didn't do this, just had the cake at California Grill), hair & makeup (I didn't tip-- the rule of thumb is if the business owner performs the service, no tip), dress steaming.
If you have your cake at your ceremony site and have it moved to Citrico's you could be charged a move fee. The same goes with floral-- if you have additional floral at your ceremony site provided by Disney and would like it moved to Citrico's, there may be a move fee. If you have a MK photo shoot and wish to have a new bouquet or have your original refreshed, there is a fee for that. You may need to pay for some sort of transportation (taxi) if you need to pickup tuxes, marriage license, etc.
Maybe there are a few things I listed that you hadn't though of!![]()

I thought you get AP's? Is that not so anymore, or am I thinking of Wishes brides?
OP, great question! I am taking notes! We were originally going to do a Wishes Vow Renewal, but have changed to an Escape Vow Renewal.

Hi Claire
Have you booked it direct with disney or have you done it through a tour company here in the uk? There isnt much difference in the 2 packages, i dealt directly with disney and now i work in a travel agency and have booked several weddings, i hve found that there is only a couple of things missing when not booked directly but these are only small things like souvenirs.
All i found extra was hair and make-up we too had our meal in citricos and werent charged to move our cake, as for flowers there were a few of guests who were going to carry these but were also moved free of charge. We got a customized menu which was a surprise. We also paid for one of the speed boats with champagne and strawberries on the lake to watch wishes which i have to say was the most amazing thing ever. You do get most things that you need included, oh the other thing was the marriage licence that isnt included you pay for that extra. but minister fees etc included. Dont forget the extra flowers etc.
Sorry i seem to have gone on a bit here, if you want any other help just give me a shout.
HTH
