Hickory Farms - new flat rate shipping!

I just logged into check and my stuff that was ordered on the 10th was shipped yesterday. I know when I was ordering I wanted the Baklava but it showed an inventory message of -34 so I could not order that. Otherwise it looks like everything I ordered I got.

I'm not sure on the cheeses and such but I am sharing with my brother as well so he may like some of that and really for most of the prices it was a good deal regardless.

Sorry they have yours on backorder.
 
Interesting, mine all shows as shipped. Including the two back ordered items.... they show as shipped a few days later.
 
I got all but two items I ordered today. They charged me the shipping proportionate to the items I received. I never received a delivery confirmation e-mail so I have no idea if the items were listed as backordered or if they were just coming in a separate shipment because they were too big to fit in the box. I ordered a LOT of stuff. My total was $60including the stuff I didn't get. I did get the sausage trio I ordered, the baklava, the cashews, gift box with the two big cheese blocks and three saugsages and the cheese ball gift box for a total of $36 so even if I don't get the other items I'm not going to complain.
 
I didn't get what I ordered- but a box showed up today with 10 other boxes.. very weird!

I ordered the Sausage Trio boxes. Very bummed to of not gotten them, the "replacement" item they sent was not exactly very comparable though I think it was more expensive to begin with.

I got 8 "Hickory Collections" (even though the shipping label said 10??)... They had 2 5oz beef sticks, 2 blocks of cheese, 2 jars of mustard, a package of crackers and a few candies.

I also got 2 of some other collection that had 2 larger blocks of cheese, a 10oz Turkey Stick and a 10oz Beef stick and assorted candies with a larger jar of the cranberry mustard and the other regular mustard.

I'd of felt satisfied with 10 of the larger boxes because what I really wanted from the sausage trio was the turkey. A little irritated that I only ended up with 2 turkey sticks, and 18 of the beef?!
 

One is 'regular' beef and one's Italian beef. I think the difference is the spices. If that makes you feel any better :)

I didn't like the turkey stick - it was very sweet!
 
So my $51 stuff that shipped really quickly (at FedEx on 1/11) showed that it was at the postal service now on 1/14 but the postal service, as of 1/21, hadn't scanned it into their own system yet (Delivery Confirmation). So I called Hickory Farms to ask what to do. They declared it lost, and are re-sending the whole order.

While it took almost an hour of phone calls (got disconnected the first time), I was glad they were quick to make a decision.

And this really makes me intensely dislike FedEx SmartPost. While I was on that very lengthy phone call, I googled and found websites full of complaints.

I'm confused, were you responding to me? All we got was regular beef stick. And the oz.'s don't add up to what we actually ordered. We're calling tomorrow because I'm not happy at all with what they sent.

We LOVE the turkey stick. It's our favorite, hands down.
 
well, I called.

I can't be at all upset with them anymore, I told them there was a substituition on my order and that I wasn't notified. She checked, saw that no one called me, and issued a full refund back to my card.

Sooo I'm pretty pleased with Hickory Farms customer service for sure!
