My Goal: To be healthier
How: Portion control, cutting sugar
I have enjoyed reading everyones posts. I hope to lose some weight also, but I am NOT on a diet. Everytime I go on a DIET, I get depressed.
My main plan is to do a meal replacement with a protien shake on the days I work ( i work 12 hour shifts 7pm to 7am) and work on portion control and cutting out sugar on the days I am off. We will see how it goes. I did learn this week that a "portion" of Cheerios is more than adequate, you just have to measure the stuff out! I prepackaged some "snacks" for work for this week (cucumber and onion slices with good seasons italian powder and some salad vinegar, and some celery sticks), and portioned myself out dinner (cheerios) for four days. I figure if I preportion it, im less likely to over eat before bed when i get home from work. I would love to talk to other people who have had success with working on portion control and changing their habits.
