Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone!
Some of you will know me...most won't as I used to hang out here ions ago when it was just a few of us...remember when we got swapping started here on the dis!! Gosh at that time we were just the scrapping forum!
I see you guys are doing circle journals and saw some of the pages on 2 peas even--wonderful pages you guys
I see you are still swapping away--things look much more complicated now though with points and what not to be figuring out!
Well gonna go poke around here a bit more and see what I can dig up!!

Hi Vanessa! So nice to see you over here! Remember back with our first swap...little punchies! And you sent all the change back in Canadian money! Kids loved it the tooth fairy would leave them "interesting money"
As for the point system that is totally new and I must say I dont' get it.
I guess If I only wanted to make 2 squares and one tag I could....so that it would equal 2 points....instead of doing the usual 4 squares and 2 tags....

great to you you back on the dis - the layouts look great - I have been working on my bom too - and couldn't help peak at yours (Nice hair in one of those layouts - musta been the 80's )
The new swap format?? I dunno!
If it is AcTuAlLy the same why confuse me (although we all know that isn't to hard!)
Speaking of first swaps - Spinning I will never forget when my package arrived to me and I realized I never sent postage - you sent it back with my name as the recipient and the return addy I think! - talk about lacking quidelines... but you all were my mentors and showed me the swapping way... and Maggie the shopping way

OMG--yes the hair!!!!
that is the sort of hair you could go to bed in and then really not have to do it in the morning....could never have enough hairspray...amazed I never combusted (I used to smoke).

Vanessa, question about a few of your layouts.
The one of you two right after you got married. I think it is a black and white on basic grey tuxedo paper.
You have a raised looking fluer thinging in the upper left corner....is that embossed? did you use a brass stencil? (I am so into those right now!)
And on the other one. What type of flower is that?

It is a foof-fa-la flourish!!
They are lovely..I can't get enough of them!
A good sb'ing friend gave me a few packs!
They are like embroidered thingies that you just use glue dots to attach to your page
The other one is a MM blossom..

Welcome back Vanessa! Back when you posted, I used my husband's screen name, Mickey Mouse, so you probably don't remember me at all.

I loved looking at your layouts: very clean and uncluttered. I loved that style: it draws my eye to the beautiful pictures. That Basic Grey paper is gorgeous.
