HI!!! It's my first post!!!

I've been, uhm, "suggesting" to my husband for a month now that we should finally go to Disney. DD is 5 (6 in Oct) and DS is 14, so my argument is that she's at the perfect age and he's just about to the age where he will have scheduling issues (jobs, sports etc) so let's go NOW! =)

Well now with my learning of the free meals (we were planning on meals anyhow), I'm pushing hard! His major opposition is the money, but since neither of us has ever been there, I'm having a hard time convincing him of the "worth" of spending all that money.

Talk this up good so I have more ammunition... I mean, "suggestions". ;-)

Welcome ... You are going to get sooooo much information off of this board.. I also joined recently ... man oh man the things that I have learned... Everyone here is GREAT .. I have been planning our first trip for about 2 months now and it is over whelming...But it will be well worth it...

I have found this site to be very informative.
If you haven't already, I would suggest ordering the free DVD and CD Rom Vacation Planning Kit from the DisneyWorld website. It will give you and your family an idea of what WDW has to offer. Also check out the Budget Board and the Disney for Families threads on this site. You may come across some information that may help you to convince your husband that it is well worth the money!
The first time I went to WDW was in 1977, my older sister took me as a high school graduation present. She said it would be a "trip of a life time". Thinking we would probably never go back again.( Due to price and distance). Well, we have been back about five times since. Each time we have seen something we had not seen before. Are we wealthy? No, somehow we find a way. To us the memories we make is well worth the money spent.
