Welcome to the Dis

I think your "Disney Wintertime" party sounds soooo fun!!!! Can you give more info on what you do for the party?
Oh sure!!
1. Invites... "The Castle respectfully requests your attendance at the Winterland banquet.." or some such wording.
2. Get a GOOD cake. You can usually get one with Disney theme if you call ahead. Or bake one at home. (It's hard to go wrong with chocolate), but I think Stop and Shop is the place that has Disney designs w/ their pre-made cakes.
3. You can do it either with kids or with women only. I guess you could do it as a guys only event, but I've never done that, so I couldn't advise! This year I'm going to have a "moms-night-out" complete with sleepover, because there may be some from out of state.
4. Everyone from the local area is bringing something to eat for potluck. Out of state folk are bringing paper goods / soda. I'm undecided about whether I will allow alcohol. I almost never drink myself, and don't usually serve it since everyone is driving, but we won't have that worry this year.
5. Dinner is usually quite normal, shooting the breeze, and just relaxing. Usually we do a recipe exchange of things that are quick to make in microwaves, and without kitchens, because on a Disney trip no one has a kitchen!
6. I usually have a ton of leftover scrapbook stuff for Disney because one of my relatives is a BIG collector and has tons of this kind of thing, of which I am the lucky beneficiary.
That's the jist of it...I'll type up more another day. Games and stuff like that if you want kids.
