Hi Guys:

Sorry, I have dropped out for quite some time. Hi to all the Newbies, especially you Philly Folks. I live in NE Philly, anyone else in the area.

Now that we are almost at the 90 days mark, I am getting into the Disney mode. My father-in-law was in an accident on July 7 and has been in the hospital with all sorts of complications since then. It is tough to see the parents age, so I haven't had much time to myself. You know how it is. I lurk when I can and was hoping to meet up with you all at the shore, but that never worked out.

You girls will have awesome time on your trip. Linda, hope you have a wonderful birthday. Hope I can join you one of these years. I think we are just missing you (again). The kids and my friend, Donna are all coming this year. Everyone in their own rooms, so hopefully, everyone will get along.

The Orchid, my son went to Point Park University in Pittsburgh. He was a film major, but they have an awesome Performing Arts program. Worth checking out. I live in Philly and can check down here, too.

Tara, back in June we got to the Premium Outlets in Limerick. I though that's where you work? I stopped in and asked for "Tara" but no one knew who I meant, so I guess it's not the right place.

Sorry to hear about your FIL. Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery.

I don't work at the Phila Premium Outlets (but LOVE to go there!) - I work at The Promenade Shops in Center Valley, about 45 min. north of there. I'm good friends with the manager Kate down there, but she's been out on maternity leave most of the year.

Hi Tara - those outlets were awesome. I would be in BIG trouble if I lived any closer!!! I was hoping that's where you worked and I would get to say "hi". They are @ an hour from me in NE Philly. I am right near the turnpike entrance, so it is an easy ride.

We will be at POR from 11/29 to 12/5. Will be there for DD's birthday and for once, she will actually be with us!! I was checking the birthday cakes on another thread. Awesome, but I like those little Mickey cupcakes. Anyone ever get a cake here? She isn't much of a cake eater, but she will love the attention!!

Tara, are your boys ready for school? It is still weird not having to get anyone ready anymore?

Thanks to everyone for the good wishes for my fil. It has been a real rollercoaster. Probably won't ever really be "good" again. This is taking a real toll on my poor DH. He is still in St. Mary's in Langhorne. He was in a car accident 7/7 for a week, then a week in rehab then the moved him back to St. Mary's where he has been since then!! One thing after another. It's tough when they get older.

I know Linda and Tara have a great trip planned. Anyone else joining you? Gisela, are you planning a trip?

Yes, I try to occupy the little one at Sesame. Although with my 10 month old it is a bit difficult! We have fun, and we usually get to see my husband for lunch those days- he also works in Langhone...right next to the mall pretty much.

And yes, we're planning a trip for next June. There are 13 of us going (I think...at last count!) and we're staying at my in-laws time share. We stayed last year and it was nice. I can't complain...it is our Christmas present! We just have to pay for airfare to get down there and spending money. And we split up the meals. We just need to figure out where we want to eat! There are 10 adults and 3 kids...a 4 year old and two almost 2 year olds.

Well, yes...Tara's BFF, Tiggerfan4me, minechucie & another PAer rounds up our little group of crazy ladies!!!! So it's 6 of us! Can you imagine all of us there!!! It's sure to be a trip to remember!!

Hi Timmy - Glad you are doing well. I feel like you did @ a year ago with my FIL. He is actually doing a little better.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and good wishes. They moved him back out of ICU and are going to try rehab - again. It has been one big rollercoaster ride - breaking me in for Everest maybe!!!! He has a lot of issues going on and is 86, so I guess you need to expect these things at his age. Hard to believe he was independent 2 months ago!!!


Planning this trip is the bright spot in my day, so I am being a little (more) obsessive about it than usual. It seems so much more complicated this year, with the shortened hours, etc. Being back on here is a helpful, too. Sometimes I can't seem to find the time and other times, I can't stay away!!

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend. Sorry you have to work, Tara. I remember those retail days well. DD still works at the mall, so I am sure she will be working, too.

Thank the Lord my kids are back in school - since last week! They're boys - wild, crazy & loud & they don't like each other very much. Summer was very long.....
