Princess Always suggested today that we plan on going to the Flower and Garden Festival next March. Perhaps several of us could plan to go the same time and have a Dis Meet. I never have had the opportunity to meet any of the special people on the DisBoards and look forward to doing that some time. I definitely want to go at this time of year and DH gives me his blessing. Now all we have to do is pick the time, a long weekend get away. DS comes home next week for cousins wedding, so i will talk to him about the spring plans and make sure there isn't a time he would be away for any reason. Have a good evening. if I can remember correctly there's benches by China but also there is that big boulder infront of the arch....
and there were a few benches there... or we can hike to Japan .. right infront of the teppen edo bldg are also sotne benches... so what do you think my fellow Illuminatis ???????

I vote for Japan at 8:30pm on 12/6!! Tara, what do you think??? Did you ask the other person you met before? Speaking of meeting other people...Timmy, I read on GMax TR about all the DISers you met! How cool! Also some of them will be there around the same time as we in December. Perhaps they could join us! Or we could work out another meet!

Where has everyone been lately? Hey locals - do you get channel 39 WLTV? They are coming to our house tomorrow to film my boys playing in the woods for a PBS Tempo Public show on how kids these days sit in front of the TV too much...our neighbor is the anchor of the show & knows that my boys are outside all the time, so she's using them as an example of what kids can do outdoors. I have no idea how much, if any, they will actually use, or when it will be on, but I'll keep you posted.

They are coming to our house tomorrow to film my boys playing in the woods for a PBS Tempo Public show on how kids these days sit in front of the TV too much...our neighbor is the anchor of the show & knows that my boys are outside all the time, so she's using them as an example of what kids can do outdoors. I have no idea how much, if any, they will actually use, or when it will be on, but I'll keep you posted.

I've been stuffing my face at the Bloomsburg Fair the last two weekends!

I had mentioned to Pam to keep the spring open for a Flower and Garden Fest trip. If anyone is interested please post dates that would be good for you! I'm game for anytime.

OK, so I too have been away far to long. I was supposed to be going to the world on the 3rd for the Food and Wine fest trip, but alas, Hurricane Ike hit Texas and my DH went off to restore power. So needless to say, he won't be home in time for my trip. I have to live vacariously thru Pam next weekend. As my two oldest daughters point out. I am going for Mousefest, so that is something to look foward too. I keep telling them, I'll be working and it's just not the same as going down with a bunch of friends..

It's sounds like I'll be missing those going in the beginning of December. I arrive on the 11th. Anyone going to be there for Mousefest?

The bldg below is the Bldg where they have Teppen Edo in japan. If you can see behind there are small stone benches in this area.. if you walk (towards France) to the adjacent area there will be regular benches...

Also facing the bldg above to its right is another bldg. next where the kakigori Stand is located..... and there is a bench that is located around that bldg... as below.. that is where my dmom and dsis were sitting...

Well, I checked the schedule for MVMCP & it's not on the 6th, so the crowd situation will be ok. Now here's the question.....are there benches at both China & Japan???? Hi PA folks Yes, I'll be there on the 6th (12/2-8 at BC). I'm traveling with another DISer (redbudlover), but my schedule is pretty flexible. I don't have anything set in stone for that night, so I'll definitely plan to be there There are benches down by the arch at Japan, and we had a perfect view back in May. Maybe Tara can post a picture again--I can't find it.

HEY is anyone going to MVMCP on Friday the 5th? Is it even on that night? Like I said I'm running late, no time to check, but my GF that I'm going with in December is dying to go to MVMCP, she thinks it's on the 5th - or is this already sold out? I know nothing about the parties but I'll go if she wants to, and there are still tickets available. I hope it's not on the 6th!!!

Tracy, sorry your upcoming trip isn't working out. I'd LOVE to go in April for the F&G Festival - but my family might seriously disown me - that would be my 3rd kid-free trip in a row to the World....but it's definitely pencilled in!

wow, such decisions on where to meet in December. I won't be there to meet you at that time, but it is the womans perogative to change her mind. I am sure you will change several times before it is finally confirmed. Yes, Princess Always and I want to go in March for the Flower SHow and even talking about doing some new and exciting things. DS who works in Disney is coming home this weekend and bringing along a list of possibilities for us, then all we have to do is make up our mind. Once again, decisions, decisions. It would be great if we could do a Dis Meet at that time. I haven't had the luxury of being part of a Dis Meet yet and I believe it would add to my memory bank. Stay dry everyone. Tara, let us know when your kids will be on TV. We get channel 39 too.

Here's the Japan meet from back in May with Jamie & myself (and a bunch of other great DIS-ers!) - too bad you can't see the view from the pic. You can see there are 3 benches close together - that's the only reason I picked that spot - but the view looks like it might be better from China. Decisions, decisions!
