My parents used to take me to Heislers a lot when I was a kid! I had no idea it was still there.

Heislers has grown in the last few years with their mini golf courses. We went at the end of the season last year after a trip over to Locust Lake.

a few of us held a mini dismeet at Knoebels Aug 13, 2004 , my favorite is chicken and waffles at The Alamo.., and of course ice cream at the end of the night...

Love to go there and play mini golf! It is beautiful there. I didn't know they had teaberry ice cream though. We'll have to make sure we get there next time we are home during the summer.

Hillary was in town on Saturday for the St. Patrick's Day parade and we didn't go but heard that it was a mad house! Obama is in town tonight to speak at a St. Patrick's Day dinner! Hillary Clinton's father was born and raised in Scranton so she considers that her 2nd home (yeah right!).

Sure seems funny that PA is getting all of this attention. Usually by the time the primary gets to PA, the race is over!

Hey Ants, I am doing a Gilrs only trip 11/29 to 12/2. Thanks.
Heisler's I was up there once or twice when my boys were little. Their ice cream is good too if I remember. I would have to get directions to get there again as it has been a long time. Might be somewhere we could go this spring and summer with stepdaughters on one of our weekends.

Tara, I think my sister graduated with Scott or maybe my sister in law Helen. I have to check. When there is a Chendo person involved there are always stories... lol

I went to Hershey today...Disney store, wasn't impressed with any great sale items. The children's Place however was another story. My sister picked up a ton of cloths for her boys for the fall for 1.99 and 2.99 a piece.

Hi Guys, it's been a while since I have been on (again). It's been so hectic here - for a change. It's cool that everyone wants to have a meet at Knoebles - too bad my DD isn't at Bloomsburg anymore, but maybe she would take a ride up there with me (if she isn't working) - so I could get to see everyone. If anyone wants to go from the Philly area, maybe we could car pool??? I'm not sure that April 26th works, since DH's birthday is the 29th, but I will give it a try.
Antss, it is great to see you are back and feeling better. I am pretty out of the loop, but if I kept reading back, I wouldn't have time to write.........lol.
Linda - I hear you about minechuchie being "old" - graduating in '84 - my son was born in '84!!!
Is Tara back at Disney?? My step-brother and his family and step-sister and her family were going this week when the kids are on Easter break - glad I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Yesterday my DD14 and I were talking to one of the girls from church and she was telling us about how she vacationed in Pa. last year. She said she went to Hersheypark and Knoebels. She said she loved both of the parks. It was so much fun talking to her about it. I love it when people from here in Iowa get to do the things back home in Pa. that we have done so many times. Next time we talk to her we will have to ask her what else she did.

Nope, my trip is 4/23-27...so I'm still anticipating!!!! Unfortunately my nieces can't go along this time....school. But at least, I'll be able to visit with my brother & sister-in-law! Hopefully we can go with the girls later.

I hope a different date will be picked for a meet. I think it'd be a great time! Maybe we could have 2 dates!!

Hi Gals,

I haven't been around much, spent a week in Ft Lauderdale and came back to a house full of sick kids. YUCK!

Anyway, remember the ladies trip I am working on. Well, I have rates that would put the per person, room only cost at $561.93 if you have AAA or $625.00 if you don't. The dates are Oct 3rd thru 6th. We are still waiting for Southwest to release their airfares, but I'm getting rates for travel in April and May at right around $218.00 round trip. So if you have an AP and a Free ticket this long weekend could be pretty cheap.

I'm also working on a Ladies only cruise for Oct 22nd thru 25th of 09. Right now I have 3 cabins held becasue we are getting an onboard credit of $50.00 per stateroom.

So, if anyone is interested in hanging out with a bunch of ladies from PA PM me and I can send you all the details of both trips.
