Yes, I've been to Kennywood the past few summers. It's a fun park to visit. The kids love the rollercoasters!

I used to live in western PA and would go to Primanti's for a "late night" snack. I always get one when I go back to PNC Park for a Pirate game.

I am just like 45 minutes from Quaker Steak and lube. That place is awesome.

They are all over the place now. I know that there's one in Clearwater florida. I go down every year for Spring Training and drove past it several years ago and have been meaning to stop in one of these years.

I've also been in the one in State college, Cranberry Twp, PNC Park and Erie.

Has anyone been to Kennywood? Does not compare to WDW but good little home grown park! Missing my days around Pittsburgh and IUP!

Anyone staying at the POP July 23-28?

We are a, as my husband keeps saying, "a safari of 7" and we will be there July 21 - 28.

We go to Kennywood every year for school picnic day - husband is a teacher and now that we have a 3-yr-old its fun for her. We always meet up with the in-laws (they love to stay in kiddieland) so we can ride the Thunderbolt, Jack Rabbit and Racer.
We have season passes for Idlewild so she is a theme park wonder kid. Was even able to dance on the main stage with her dance school last week.

IN 7 DAYS I'LL BE IN THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!

I am of the Kerber's of Kerber's Ice Cream. My husbands family owns and operates. My husband is the manager of both locations. Glad you like the ice cream!!

We were just there last week I think. My daughter and I go all the time but it was hubby's first time. He really liked the coffee flavored one (don't remember what it was called), daughter got choc chip and I got the sherbet (for a change).
Daughter calls it the cow ice cream place. She's a big fan of cows in general - I bought one of those $5 cows from Kohl's when she was a baby and he goes everywhere with her - so she always wants to look at the cows that are on the display.

You guys are killing me! Now you have to mention Quaker ...Ugh! Pittsburgh (and Philly!) has all the great food! Princess Mom, I so remember the school picnic days! We did those every year! Our school gives the day after off! ( Elizabeth Forward) So fun! My mom just retired from teaching there! Where does your hubby teach? We are trying to get back up there before the end of summer to do Idlewild and Storybook Forest! We love that place! Ever done Cedar Point? We will be there same time as you guys. July 23-28 at the POP. Maybe we will run into eacother!

Johnstown people, one of my best friends lives out there and my aunt lives in Somerset! I feel like we are all neighbors in some way!!!!! Yes, I know, very cheesey!
