Good luck to you Helene! Will you be at Pottsville? I'll be at St Luke's tomorrow for the first x-ray of my colon transit study. I just swallowed the horse pill that is filled with little "radiopaque markers" - they look like tiny plastic rings! Anyone ever have this done? Helene too bad we're not heading to the same hospital or we could have a DIS Meet! LOL!!

I didn't even go - St Luke's told me last week I just walked in to the Outpatient Dept. for this test, sign in & wait. I've been in the labs many times before with the kids so this seemed normal to me. So I called yesterday morning to confirm if I was going to OP Radiology or OP GI Lab - and they said I had to have an appt. for this series of tests. Ok then why didn't they tell me that before?!?!?! I had specifically asked when I called last week if I needed an appt. & they said no. So I swallowed a radioactive horse pill on Sunday for nothing. Now I have to repeat this super high-fiber diet again this week, run over to St Luke's today, out of my way, to get another horse pill for Sunday, and go M-W-F next week for the tests. Frustrating! But thanks for asking!!!

We had a 2 hour delay today, how about you?

no delays of any kind here, what ever its doing didn't even start til after 9am, it was snowing now it looks like sleet? or rain but its 30 so it can't be rain maybe freezing rain?? nothing looks icy?? i dunno, my dad said we might see major snow on friday anyone else heard this??

Ugh! What a pain!!! I hate when no one can ever give you the right info. I can see if you didn't ask, but you even tried to make an appt. and they said you didn't need one. How frustrating! Well, at least if I ever meet you in person I'll be able to recognise you by the radioactive glow from the extra horse pill...

Same here. I heard a little snow on Fri., but we are farther south than you, so I'd assume you'lle get more in the Pocono's

OK, so since Disney has not given me the final numbers for our group pricing, I decided to go a different route. I looked at the pricing as if we were booking room only at regular rates. So without further ADOoooo here is what I'm estimating our cost to be per person.

Room for 3 nights $760.00
Tickets 4 day park hopper $240.00
Airfare before Ding $250.00 Total is $1250.00

optional add on. Segway tour at Fort Wilderness $75.00

Again, once I get our special group pricing from Disney the room rate will go down.

Please spread the word on this trip. I can honestly say, WE all had a great time last year, so the more the merrier.

OMG...that's terrible! I hope you made your displeasure known to a supervisor. That was totally their fault! You inquired about needing an appt. I haven't known anyone who had that particular test. So you have to go M-W-F for portions of the test??? Very annoying!

have you ever checked with AAA for group discounts.. I know people who have done that and saved over booking directly thru disney..

I'm a travel agent and we are just waiting for Disney to give us teh rates for the group space we requested. The hold up seems to be in an event we are planning. IE Illuminations dessert party. So once they give them to me, I will pass them to you. But now just to throw a wrench into all things, Soutwest is coming out with their Oct fares in April. So I sure hope I hear back from Disney before they are released, so that everyone has a good idea if they can make the trip or not


The dates for Harrisburg are July 19th and 20th. There is a block of rooms avalable at the Radisson Penn Harris hotel, where the event is held. If you would like to go to the meet send me an email and I'll tell you how to register. If you are already registered, the payment system will be opening up in a week or two. So pay early as last year sold out VERY quickly, in 10 days.
