Hello all!

I have to admit I have only been a lurker here, only posted once back in October, but have been waiting for minechuchie to get back. I am originally from 'Chendo'. I saw a previous post of hers saying that she knew the Vascavages. Well they are friends and neighbors of my brother's mother-in-law so I thought I'd ask my brother if she knew anyone named Terri that lived in that neighborhood. Well before I got a chance to ask he mentioned that "Albert's daughter Terri goes to Disney a lot, she just rented a place down there from a guy from Frackville". So I knew it was you, chuchie! Your dad and my dad were good friends! My brother is Bobby from the 500 club. What a small world! Hoping we can meet sometime when I come up to visit him, or maybe at Disney???

Also, I'm from Blue Bell which isn't that terribly far from Neshaminy/Oxford Valley (we lived in Bensalem for 7 years) so I'd be up for a meet there. Have any of you been to Cheeseburger in Paradise? We've been there to get together with friends we met on a Disney Cruise and it's a fun place. Just a thought!

Hi Janis & welcome! It was I that originally asked about the Vascavages - my DH went to college with their son Scott, but we haven't seen or heard from him since graduation day in 1992! We did go to Shendo for his grad party sometime the summer of '92 but nothing since then. I'm off to WDW in 22 hours!!!!

Hi Janis, It is a small world isn't it? I got a real kick out of hearin' from you. I was talking to Bobby a couple of weeks ago telling him how much we love to go to Disney. Bob said you were going in June and that you loved Disney too. He was teasin' my husband and I that we should come down and hang out with you guys. lol I think it is really funny that you saw me on here. Well, yesterday was a good day.....The Yankees won!!! My DH & the rest of the people on the bus were happy! I was COLD all day!!! The wind was whipping through the stadium! Of course, today was bright, sunny & warmer at the game. We go back in 2 weeks & I'm hoping for a much warmer day!!
Another topic.....our Disney Store at the Berkshire Mall is definitely closing!! I was at the mall today & saw that awful sign announcing the sad fact. It states that guests can still shop online at disneystore.com.....I don't want to shop online!!!! I like to see what I'm buying!!...ok, rant over.
I bet Tara is packing up her last minute items by now!!! Have a great trip Tara!! Meet lots of DISers!!!

more power to you.... I dont know anything about sports.... all I knowmis when I went to go see a baseball game and or a football game I was stuffed.. my buddies were the one who were yelling... Popcorn!~!!! Hotdog!!! Beer!!!!!

Monday is going to be a long day for me... I wish everybody a nice Monday ahead of you!!! Mine starts at 8 and will end at midnite.. so yup no dising.. most likely the whole week will be dis free...

Not happy about this!!!! We shop there all the time when we are home!! I will have to break the sad news to my aunt who is a regular there. Did they say when they are closing? Still haven't heard if the one I go to in Omaha will remain open or not.

I am definitely up for a meet at Cheeseburger in Paradise. I have only tried Cheeseburger/Cheesburger, but I'm willing to meet up with you and anyone else living out this way.

There are two different Disney Store closing lists somewhere on the boards. The first one dubbed the un-official list shows The Berkshire mall one as well as the Rockvale outlet one closing. The other one shows neither of them on it. OY! Just wish they could all stay open!



On another note. I just got back from a very short 3 day cruise on the Wonder. The weather was excellent, the service was excellent, it was just all around excellent. It definetly got me excited for our family cruise aboard the Magic on the Sept 1st, double dip cruise.

I'm off to the world on the 15 of May for the Flower and Garden. I saw a bit of EPCOT on Wednesday before I left for the cruise, just enough to give me a taste and again the excitement of getting back down there. Last Wednesday, I was at the AKL and apparently the Jonas brothers were there as well as the Cheetah Girls. I came home and told my daughters that they were there... Oh, please don't tell me I had the same reaction to the mention of Shaun Cassidy

Say it ain't so I was hoping it wasn't true !! I too love to go to the store and see and touch what I am buying. I wonder if it's true that they are also closing the newly opened store in the outlets?

Catasauqua (just north of the ABE airport) here. I am originally from Bethlehem and graduated from Freedom High in 71. DH is originally from Mahanoy City and graduated from Mahanoy High in 62. (He was born in Shendo) We met at my brother's wedding the day before I graduated. He and DB went to Electronics Training Center (became Ryder Tech and is now Lincoln Tech) in Allentown.

Started going to WDW for our 25th Wedding Anniversary 11 years ago and are very addicted. We'll be going on our 1st Cruise with DCL in October 2008 and will be going to WDW for 4 days after the cruise. Can't wait!
