I was selected for QSFB, FA.

I tell you what though, I actually did the interview not expecting to get in.

The entire thing was over in 2 weeks.

I am in.

And am excited.

And I have a few questions.

1. Do I absolutely need a car?

2. How big is WDW itself? I haven't been since i was 12 and obviously didn't take much stock of the size.

3. Shortcuts? I won't have a car because mine breaks down in heat and I can only imagine Florida would just decimate the poor thing.

4. I have absolutely no desire to return to Indiana at the end of my program, after extending, how do I make sure they hire me FT, or at least consider me very much in the running?

Congratulations! I'll be arriving a few weeks before you (:

From my understanding, if you're staying in the provided housing, there will be shuttles available to and from WDW and housing as well as near by shopping malls, grocery stores, and even Universal Studios. But I heard a car would make things more convenient instead of planning around a bus schedule.

First off congratulations! :wizard:

1) You dont NEED a car but a car would be easier. But there is a good bus transportation system that will take you pretty much anywhere and also don't rule out asking your room mates for a ride from time to time. I'm sure they would oblige with a little gas money.

2) WDW it's self is massive!! Bigger than Manhattan Island but you wouldn't need rides to anywhere except a resort (some are out of the way) or a park since you're QSFB. Again the bus can get you there in a timely manner.

3) Really no help here the bus will take routes everywhere. They are predetermined routes.

4) There really is no way to guarantee going FT/PT. Just don't miss any days try to extend get to know your managers really well and be sure you let them know as early as you can that you're interested in staying PT/FT. PT is a little easier to get FT happens but is very difficult to get. But really those are my only tips I have for you! Best of luck!

Congrats! I'm August 8th :)

You don't need a car, the busses will take you to all the basic places you need. Work, walmart, grocery store, etc. Having a car gives you more freedom, but the busses will work fine and help you save money by not paying for gas :)

And Disney World is huge! But not hard to navigate at all.

Full and part time isn't guaranteed. But if you are a good worker and keep your record card clean, I can't imagine it would be too hard.
