OK, here is what I have been doing... as you all talk about what we are eating for the slumber party I have been sitting here eating baby carrots...

The only problem is that I have now eaten half the bag!

I ate half the container of rice pudding. I don't feel like ice cream any more. I think I'm going to turn in with Nick at Nite and eat ice cream if I wake up in the middle of the night.

Hi everybody!

I feel like a rat shutting it down,it is temporary as far as I'm concerned. I just felt like things had to be stopped before it got really ugly.

I'm happy to see y'all in here chatting nicely.

In the midst of all this I was getting my mother showered and ready for a Dr. appointment this afternoon...that wears me out like you wouldn't believe! OY! I was looking forward to this appointment so I could get the ball rolling with getting some help here in my home with her a few times a week.Dr has to approve things,blah blah.Well I got her ready and fed,Joe gets home from work,he's goes with me because I can't handle it by myself. We're about on our way out,Joe comes back in...the water hose busted on the car.GREAT! We only have one vehicle so we can't go. I have to call the Dr reschedule,can't get a late appointment again until next Tues.Now waiting on our friend to take Joe to autoparts store.

Erich starts school in 12 days ,I'm involved with stuff there and getting phone calls from school about things for next weeks registartion, this is the teachers week back,so my headed is spinning a bit...no that's a lie...it's spinning ALOT today!!!!

Did I mention it feels like the gates of Hades outside today to top it all off!! I'm going to hate to see my power bill at the end of the month!

I'm sorry that you had to reschedule your appointment. However, I am so happy to hear that you are on the way to getting some help. I can't even imagine how hard this has all been on you and I'm sure even just a little assistance will help tremendously. Lots of that the process will move smoothly and quickly from here.

Man, you really do have a ton of stuff on your plate! I'm so sorry about your car! Totally not what you needed! What grade is Erich going into this year? Is he excited?

Wish I could send you all some of the fairy cakes. They turned out really cute out of the oven, and now we're waiting for them to cool down so the girls can ice and decorate them. If anyone wants the recipe let me know! It was really easy, and the girls didn't destroy my kitchen.

I got the recipe out of a darling book Katie picked out and her grandma bought her. There's so many cute "fairy" recipes. She's going to have fun with this one, I can tell!

Is it a pink hard cover book with all sorts of "little" treats in it? I was looking at one like that at the bookstore a few weeks ago and thought that it was SO cute.

Do you subscribe to Family Fun magazine? About a year or so ago there was an activity (I think it was the main cover picture too) about Fairies and Fairy Houses. It was a really cute activity and Katie would probably love it. You guys may have already done it, but if not I found it on the website if you want to check it out.

I just stuck my back issues in a box the other day. If I see that issue I can make copies of the whole segment if you want it. I think they had more ideas and crafts in the magazine.

Funny you should mention that. Kate and her friends found that very article as they were going through my old magazines. They spent the rest of the afternoon gathering materials, and have planned to build the house tomorrow. Well, it's keeping her from telling me she's bored every 5 minutes.
