Hi
Just saying hi from sunny Lindfields. Sitting here about to hit the pool after a lovely day spent at Sea World and an excellent meal at Fridays(jack daniels sauce mmmmmmmm). Thought id post just in case anyone has built into their itinerary and dont know - RACE ROCK HAS CLOSED. The sign on the door says shut thanks for the 11yrs service, new owners have other plans for the place. My ds was a bit upset as he wanted to see the trucks and cars but he was quite happy with his meal at fridays instead and his balloon aligator that he got and balloon palm tree and monkey which dd got instead.

So in case you were planning to go there and dont already know - dont it's shut.

Oh no!!! I love this place!!!!:sad1: I have so many good memories there, thank you for letting us know, what will they do with all that memoribilia?

Thanks for checking in :thumbsup2 . We've got many happy memories of times spent at Race Rock, but I must admit I thought it was looking very tired last time we visited (and even that must have been several years ago).

Enjoy the rest of your trip. :goodvibes

Sad but inevitable.

We went in October and it was looking so shabby I said I didn't think I'd go back. I'm going to be thinking of loaded fries all day now though:thumbsup2

Oh shoot, Race Rock was on my must do list. :sad1:

Thanks for the info, it has saved me a wasted journey.

I have to say I agree with several other posters. We didn't bother going last year as we were disappointed on our previous visit just how much the place had deteriorated. It wasn't bad, just not nearly so impressive as it had been.

Thanks for that. No more Expoldeing Onion then.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday. :goodvibes

The first time we visited Race Rock the place was jumping and there was a long wait to get in, the last time we went there (2005) and it was pretty empty and looking like it needed a paint.

In Orlando, you have to improve just to stay still, if that makes sense?
