Hi Folks

Kevin - So glad you're doing ok & that the surgery went well. 2 weeks seems like a long time...but not really in exchange for a lifetime of vision:) - I hope you're able to fine a comfortable position and I hope time really does fly by....Take care

Glad to hear that the surgeries went as planned. :thumbsup2 Hope the next two weeks are quick ones for you and just take it super slow. Your in my thoughts and hope everything heals up 100%. Hugs to John too. :grouphug:

Kevin I am glad that you are doing well, hope the 2 weeks fly by for you, we are always here if you feel up to it!

Boy! I missed alot in a week from the Unplugged forum. Sorry that you are going thru all of this Kevin ~ but so glad that surgery went well. I hope the recovery goes smoothly and that you and John stay sane thru out.

Major :goodvibes sent your way.

Hi Kevin,

As you can see, I am never on the boards, however, I am addicted to, and obsessed with the podcast! (I have listened to most episodes twice).

I want to wish you well. I know it is difficult to follow doctor's orders, but you will do it, and subsequently have a good outcome.

Stay as comfortable as you can, I will be thinking of you, and praying for a full recovery!

Sharon

Kevin, you're in our prayer! I hope you start to feel better soon. :goodvibes Sorry you have to be in such uncomfortable positions! :headache:

I've been re-listening to all your old dining reviews, so you've been on my mind a lot lately. :flower3: I'm going to make my DH listen to your WCC and Ohana reviews this evening! I hope it changes his mind about dining in them! I'm trying to get him to switch to the Wave.

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Take as much time as you need.

Your friend you keeps asking you to find me good iced coffee (remember?)
Mare :upsidedow

Glad to hear you're feeling better Kevin:thumbsup2 My grandmother had the same surgery a few years ago, and the recovery was uncomfortable for her (as you described). She tried using a kid's swim ring and a neck pillow to rest her face on. pixiedust: for a speedy recovery!

Kevin - Glad you are doing better - has John made brownies for you yet?

See if he can mount a flat screen on the floor for you to play AC while hanging down over the side of the bed - you can make some serious bells while you are laid up! :rotfl:

Seriously though, do your best to follow the MDs orders - no matter how hard. The short term inconvenience has long term payoff!

Hey Kevin, glad to hear you are home and doing fine. Chin down mister. But serious thank God You are ok. Dr. John there to take care of you ( milk it, I would). My wife and I happy to see you home. So heal up quick and back to podcast team soon. We all miss you.

Thanks for letting us know how you are, glad to see you haven't lost your sense of humour :)

Take care and milk all the attention.

:grouphug:

Kevin, I'm very glad you're okay and posting again. I would not be able to have the patience to sit in one position for so long. Just the thought of it makes me antsy.

I'l be sending another prayer your way in hopes that you get better soon. :)

Kevin, glad to hear you are doing well. I'm sorry to hear you have to be on your stomach. I'm lucky, no matter how I lay, I always tend to be on a bit of my stomach :) Hope to have you back soon.

Kevin,
I am extremely nearsighted. My eye doctor is constantly making me expect my retina to detatch. I hope if / when it does, I hope have as many prayers as you have received.
My wish for you is that you find the magic pixie dust needed to get through the recovery period without going crazy.
Lyn

Kevin....It's so good to hear from you. I am so sorry you have to be laid up like you have to be...I am a stomach sleeper myself but it's certainly not for everyone!
I hope you continue to have a very successful recovery and I am looking forward to hearing your voice on the podcast again soon.
Take care of yourself and get well soon!!

Kevin, so glad to hear that things went well. Yeah, the recovery positions suck, but hopefully the time will pass quickly. I didn't read through all the posts, but as for sleeping on your stomach - I'd get a massage table! LOL! You know, the ones with the hole for your face? That way you can breathe! What the heck, hire a masseuse to come in and give you a daily massage! I'd sleep on my stomach if I could get one of those on a daily basis. Ha Ha Ha! LOL! :)

Seriously though, get better. Lots and lots of people are thinking of you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post. So glad that you are home and resting.

I don't think I would like sleeping on my stomach either. The gas bubble sounds like it would make things akward for a while. But the results will be worth it.

Magical wishes, pixiedust:

Kate

Kevin,

The fact that you can post after what you have been through the past few weeks and days speaks volumes to your character and resilience. Keep up your great positive attitude! We will say a few prayers for your speedy recovery and will look forward to your return to the podcast.

Many prayers for a speedy recovery. A couple of my friends had this surgery and believe me Valium was their friend when the inactivity and position became to much to bear.:grouphug:
