Hi DVC Family! -- I had a baby!

Hi everyone! I haven't been on the boards in weeks, but it is because I was put on bed rest for my pregnancy over a month ago. Because of a blood clotting disorder, placental issues and severe pre-eclampsia, I delivered Amelia Louise on Saturday, April 23rd at 1:01am. She was born at 2lbs 13oz, 16". She is currently in NICU at a hospital in Allentown and I am spending my days there with her. She is doing really well and growing. She will be two weeks old (and 34weeks, 4 days) this coming Saturday. She already weighs 3lbs 2 3/4ounces and is starting to take bottle feedings.

When I am able to post pictures of her from my home computer, (I am staying with family right now because the hospital I was sent to is an hour and a half away from home) I will show you how beautiful she is.

Just thought I'd share our good news with you all! We are thinking of taking her on her first DVC vacation either this December or next May. Can't wait to show her to her second home.

As a high risk labor and delivery nurse I know how difficult and stressful a preganancy and delivery this early can be. It's wonderfully optimistic that little Amelia is feeding and gaining weight ! I wish the whole family all the best.

Wow! You have been though a lot in the last couple weeks. Definately not a 'normal' pregnancy and delivery! I'm so glad to hear both you and the baby are doing well. I hope you both get to go home soon. (I meant your real home, but going to your Disney home would be great too!)

Congratulations!!! My DD was 13 weeks early and weighed 2-1/2 lbs. That was over 12 years ago and she is doing great...so will Amelia!!!
