Ihello all
:headache: :headache: I have booked to go to Orlando in October 2007 with 4 other adults and need some advice about buying the park tickets?
PLEASE HELP ME I AM SO CONFUSED!!!
1 Where is it cheaper to buy them? in uk or in Orlando
2 I want to go to Disneyland (all of them0 and universal studios (all of them) so what ticket do i need?
3 Can you get tickets for less than 4 days?
4 Is it true that you can get fastpass tickets from going to timeshare presentations?

We always buy our tickets from Ticketmania (over the internet). We've been really happy with them.

The only thing about the new way Disney does tickets, is that the more days you buy, the less money each additional day is. So if you are looking for three-day tickets, they have them but they won't be as big a bargain as if you bought an eight day ticket.

The Vacation Club board (DVC) may be able to answer the fast-pass question.

oh thank you for your reply i will buy more days but didn't know what type of tickets to buy is there one you can buy that goes to all attraction disney and unverisal studios or do you have to buy the separate

:welcome: to the DIS!

Disney World parks are the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM Studios & the Animal Kingdom.

Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure are separate entirely -- I believe there is a forum for them on this board, but I have never been & can't help you there.

As for fastpasses w/ timeshare presentations, I'm not familiar but it doesn't seem like a good way to go. That sounds like an awful lot of park time spent outside the parks altogether.

There are some reputable sites in the US for buying Disney tickets & I'm sure others who have used those will point you in the right direction. Lots of friendly and knowledgable folks here can get you all set to enjoy the magic.

Have a fabulous trip! pixiedust:

Disney and Universal are competing parks so you will not be able to buy an all inclusive ticket.

You can get your Disney Park hopper through Ticket Mania and I believe you can get an Orlando Flex Pass, not sre if that is the name. The Orlando Flex Pass is for the two Universal Parks, Sea World and Wet and Wild.

Hope that helps. Also, I don't think there are any great deals no matter where you get the tickets. They are just slightly discounted. And if you are doing a Disney package, your tickets will be included.

There are lots of off site timeshares that offer a ticket to a theme park. I don't think it's Disney's DVC that does this though. Just be careful if you do one of these. I hear the people are very aggressive and the free ticket is n't worth the torture of being there.
Good Luck

When we went back in 12/05 for the DVC presentation. We were at the park that day they picked us up from the park and to us to where they had the DVC timeshare at and brought us back to the park into the same entrance we left from. It took us 4 hrs that day to do the timeshare presentation we also bought DVC that day. But they did give us fastpasses to use on 2 rides per park with in a 24 hr or 48hr time limit dont exactly remember that part. But they were fastpasses for the exact time you put your special ticket they gave you in the fastpass machine. (ie you scanned your ticket for 1:30 fastpass was for 1:30) Mom went down with us Dec of this year and did DVC tour and was not given any fastpasses to use she however did this on the last day of our trip and was not going back to any of the parks. So maybe thats why she did not get any. But may also be they are no longer doing this.

Right now I believe you can purchase a 7 day pass to both universal studios and Islands of Adventure plus admission to City Walk clubs for $85 on the universal website. This seems like a great deal to me, I got these tix for my trip in July.

They do sometimes give out special Fastpasses if you do a DVC tour/presentation, but it seems to be completely random. Some folks have gotten a voucher for lunch, some have gotten Fastpasses, many have gotten nothing at all.

Even if you were guaranteed to get a Fastpass...they're free. I wouldn't come all the way from the UK and then waste valuable vacation time just to get something that I can get for free. OK, these are a little different from the normal FP, in that you don't have to wait and then come back at a later time, but if it's only 2 rides per park, it's not going to save you that much time anyway. Whatever time you saved by using the Fastpass would be offset by the time you spent talking to a DVC salesperson.

Enjoy your trip! :)

We bought from Undercover Tourist in January. They were the cheapest of anyone. The tickets arrived promptly and we had no problems with them.

We always buy park hopper passes. That way you can go from one park to the other on the same day.....which we do a lot!

And just in case you are not aware of this, Disney World is in Florida. You say you want to go to Disneyland which is in California. So you'd have to fly all the way from the East coast to the West coast. Remember that the US is considerably larger than the UK. You are talking a several hour long flight.

Doable? Sure. Expensive? Yes. Time consuming? You bet.
