Hello everyone! My name is Tory and I am 37 years old and FINALLY planning my family's first trip to Disney World! We are going June 8-14, 2014!

I have 5 kiddos, 18, 16, 13 and twin 1 year olds!

I became so overwhelmed with all the information and threads that I had to take a break from reading and type my intro post! Sooo much to learn and do here! I am too excited to jump in and start posting...as soon as I do a little more reading!

Welcome aboard, and congratulations on your upcoming trip...you're gonna have a blast! Yes, there's a ridiculous amount of information, and it can be overwhelming at first. You might want to consider either buying, or checking your library for a recent guidebook. I find that the boards are a fantastic place to ask specific questions and stay up to date on new Disney developments, but it's waaay too much to read through and digest as a whole (especially if you're planning your first trip). With a guidebook, it's organized more clearly, and you can refer back to sections you need to revisit. Then when you want people's opinions or advice on attractions, restaurants, etc...come here and get the word from people who live, eat, and breathe Disney. That's my advice, at least. My family's a fan of the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". There are also several good websites that are more information-based than discussion forums such as easywdw.com (frequently referred to here as "Josh's site"), allears.net, and mousesavers.com. I'm not as big of a vet as some people on this board, but I know a thing or two about the Mouse Kingdom! You can PM me if you have questions! It's a HUGE undertaking! Do you know what resort you wanna stay at, yet? That's a huge decision!
