I'm a new DISer but a long time lurker who wanted to finally introduce myself. I have a DS who is 8 months and we (me and DH) are already starting to plan his first WDW trip for sometime in 2011-12

I don't know anything about posting pics, updating profiles or anything like that yet so any tips would be appreciated.

Welcome to the DIS!

I think you have to have a certain number of posts before you can post pics in a message (not sure how many, maybe 10 or 20?) Once you hit the approved post count, you can upload your pictures to a free picture hosting site (I use photobucket) by creating an account. Then in the 'library' of your pics on that site, each picture will have several 'codes' underneath it (html, IMG etc) copy the IMG code and paste it in your message and the pic should appear.

As far as updating profiles, I think that is just an optional place for you to put more information about yourself if you would like, change your avatar, and edit your signature.
