I can personally endorse earplugs for the houses. I love horror movies so so much and thought I was going to love HHN. Went through one house and ended up in tears, yes I was in my mid-30’s at the time and I’m absolutely embarrassed to tell the tale. It was just too intense for me.
Ended up trying earplugs and was able to successfully make it through the rest of the houses and enjoy them.
I was okay in scare zones pretty much though without, following advice I’d read to just walk through confidently and without looking too much like a good “mark”.
We’re going again this fall and doing the RIP tour, I’m really looking forward to it but I’ll have earplugs from house 1 this time!
