Any clues when the AP rates will come out?

Any clues when the AP rates will come out?

i'm checking the site everyday.
it stated "check back later" for info on the AP rates.

the last few years, the ap rates came out a bit over one week once the tickets went on sale.
i would assume we would see the info on the site in about 8 days.

i'll post here when i see it is listed.

and still I dont see which park(s) it will be at...interesting, you can buy tickets and still not know where to go yet

Exactly what I was thinking. I just told my husband it had been announced and his first questiond was "What park this year"....when I said it doesnt say....he thought I was blind. LOL

I hope they will open both parks again like in 2004...it seemed WAY too crowded last year at the Studios. I thought the 2004 layout worked a lot better in terms of crowd control...JMHO.

While checking AAA to price out our vacation they have the Express Passes for Peak nights at $70.28 a pop:scared1: . While non-peak is 38.33. Don't know how accurate their pricing is being that Universal doesn't have the prices up yet...but I know I'll be shelling out about that much for Oct. 20.

wait and see what the ep prices will be with the discount.
last year the ep price was about $65 with no discounts.
when the discounts came out, it ws lower. i'm talking about the saturday night charge.

the prices might be lower than what aaa quoted you when they are published and released on the UO site.

crossing my fingers for good discounts.
throwing mummy dust on this situation so we all will be happy.
but, i am like you, i will pay whatever it is for the 4 nights i will be at hhn

Macraven: Tell me more about 'Unmask The Horror' and the RIP Tour please! What's involved? What's the price? Is it worth it?

Sorry to ask so many questions :rotfl:

lynne, i went on it last year. you have to complete a form that is sent back to the vip group. you list 1st, 2nd, etc preferences for the tour.

you will get a phone call back directly from the group to set things up.
i could not get the email back from them as i had a computer glitch so they called me. once you pay in advance, you get a confirming email with all the info on it.

i have mine from last year in front of me.
i paid $37.28 which includes tax. the tour only takes 15 people on a tour which is good so you can ask all the questions you want while on it.
it is for 2 hours. last year and the year before the tour times were at 11 and at 2:00. only 2 tours a day. tours are on sat, sun and mon last year.
i did the oct 8th tour.

you meet in the lobby to check in. from there when the group is all together, you are taken upstairs to the conference area room. you watch a video that is made specifically for this tour. it shows the making of the houses and scenes from hhn in action. you get an in depth tour of hhn.

after the video and statements by the tour guide, you leave the room and visit 3 of the houses with the lights on inside them.
you can take pics you want. at least onn the tour i took. some people posted last year on a tour near the end of the month they could not take pics inside the houses. the tour guide explains details in the houses and gives a lot of background on them. so kewl.

after the tour of the houses, we were taken to the hhn museum that housed many things of hhn past years. outstanding.

if you have more questions, please ask.

Thanks, Macraven!

Is this the RIP tour or Unmask the Horror? (Or are they both the same thing?)

this is the unmask the horror tour.
the rip tour is different.
the rip tours are given also in the regular park times but there are rip tours during the hhn events.

the rip tour costs a lot more.
on the rip tour you are guided by a tour guide.
you have reserved seats for the bill and ted show when you are on that tour.
you also stay together as a group and do get to follow the guide tour to the beginning of the line. you do not need to buy the express pass when you are on the rip tour.

Agree. Last year was so crowded, we only stayed for a few hours and left.

I just did a bit of reading up for the RIP Tour and it looks well worth the money! Do you need to book months in advance or do you think we'll still get on the tour if we booked in, say, September?

i booked on july 31 for the oct 8th tour.
i wanted to get all my ducks in order so i booked early.

some people on the tour i took, booked two days before oct 8th they said.

many people don't want to spend 2hours and 30 minutes tied up not doing the rides and don't take the unmask the horror tour.

you are requested to check in at least 30 minutes prior to your tour time, that is why you would be blocking 2 1/2 hours of your day out of regular park time.

i'm referring to the unmask the horror tour here.
i have not done the rip tour yet but plan to on one day of the 4 day weekend time i will be at hhn. i plan to wait and book it late september.

I also just found the price for Express Passes.

Sunday-Thursday and the first Friday, Express are $38.33

Friday and Saturday they are $70.28

greystrOke, are the prices you listed above for the AP discount or are they the regular priced eps?

i was told that the ap discount cost would show up about a week after the first posting of the prices that are on the site.
