October 8?

According to the front of the brochure. :confused3

Why the delay between this weekend and not being on again until a week from tomorrow?

Really enjoyed today. We took an afternoon tour and covered all but two houses, still killed time and got home before 10 p.m.

We have Frequent Fear Passes, so will be heading back every Sunday while HHN is on.

The AP area was a joke. But other than that HHN was great. The lines for the houses were 75 minutes after we went through 5. We passed, figuring we will see the remainder and do repeats later.

I snapped lots of photos. I will share some later.

Universal usually lets AP and FF pass holders in for the first weekend and then the regular schedule takes over the following week.

Just curious...what happened at the AP holding area that was a joke? :confused3

We arrived earlier than usual as we attended one of the tours for walking through houses during the day. Which we really enjoyed.
Afterwards we ate, then re-entered USO. Still killed some time, as the AP area was just a corraled area with a few stilt walkers, very little entertainment, no restrooms, nothing to drink and basically the sidewalk or curb to sit on. (And it was hot and sunny out. Everyone wanted shade if at all possible.) Although we did not go down to the step area to see what steps were remaining to sit on.
They were going to let AP-ers in the first haunted house que at 5:30. So we went in the AP holding area about a quarter til 5. Another guest told us there was a line to enter the first house, so we got in the line. (As in the past this was pretty much how it was done too.)
There were a lot of people outside the corraled area just hanging around. No line, etc.
A little past 5:30 the rope drop happened and apparently the gates were opened to those in the street. The AP-ers who stood in line were basically standing in line for no reason all this time, as anyone outside the gates entered near the front of the que and were getting in much faster than the AP-ers who made this long snake-like line.
And there really was was no line by then due to the merging of two groups. Instead it was just a mass of people funneling down to a little entrance. And others in the AP area saw what was going on, so they just joined a mass of people trying to get through a small passage to the que. (Reminded me of what happens in the Haunted Mansion after the library doors open, only on a much larger scale.)
The AP-ers who waited in line actually were last in because of the people from outside the corral, and anyone else who just walked up.
A woman behind us said to her companion, "See I told you there was no reason to stand in a line."
That started the evening off badly, and luckily it went much better from there. That was a lesson learned for us.
Other than that, the evening was great.
The only other negative observation (and it is minor) was about the que areas. There are places between the first three houses they could have had entertainment. (Stilt walkers or scaracters) They had jello shot women vendors, but no entertainment. :dance3: Having a few characters there would have been a nice touch.

You talking about Scareactors or like Universal Characters?

I was at the AP area in New York on 9/30 and had a great time! There was music, 2 bars, break dancers, some scareactors walking on stilts. I had a great time there. There were no bathrooms but it didn't seem like we were there that long before we were realeased into Screamhouse. We got right in line and were in the house within 10-15 minutes.
It was my first visit to HHN so I guess I was just impressed with everything!!! I had so much fun the whole night! :thumbsup2
