HHN - RIP Tour/staying in the park at 5pm

I'm hoping the experts can help me with a bit of advice.

I've seen various comments about the advantages of being in one of the holding areas ready for the start of HHN but if we book the RIP Tour (on Sunday 9/25) would this become significantly less important?

Rather than being in the park in the afternoon I quite like the idea of some pool time followed by a nap and then arriving at the park with just enough time to check in for the tour. Would that work? It would definitely significantly increase the chances of me lasting until 1/2am!

If your doing rip tour it really does not matter. Just chill out at the hotel, then head over to the entrance on the right. There should be signs to the rip lounge.

We did this last year, just turned up when it was time for our tour, no need to be in the park unless you wanted to do a house before the tour

Like others said, be at vip lounge, check in at their lobby at the time given to you in your confirmation email

You need a park ticket to get into the park
use the far to the right entrance gate to enter the park
It will be shorter and opens at 6:00
Do the metal detector, then go to the vip building

Do the RIP and VIP folks use the same lounge prior to start of their tours?

Hope it's ok for me to poke a couple of quick questions about the RIP tour:

1. If you have Stay and Scream, I think I read you can try to hit a house or two before your non-private RIP meet time. Is that correct?
2. After the non-private RIP ends, you can use Express on the rides once, but you cannot use Express for houses. Correct?

Allowed to do rides once only but no houses with your glow stick
