Hi Homies!!!

Since I can't go to HHN this year :sad1: and I know lots of you guys are going, I will have to live vicariously through you!!!!! Please posts lots of reports and pictures if you can. Since it starts this weekend, I thought I would post this early. Hope everyone has a great time and I will be waiting to hear all the "gory" details. :surfweb: :scared1:

I don't think you'll have to worry about that...we will be reporting afterwards.

I'll be checking back on Saturday to find out which rides are going to be open, so if someone could take stock of that I'd be most grateful :cool1:

(Mainly because I want to go on Jaws at night)

Do you have to pay extra for HHN? I'm not even sure exactly what it is, its after hours? Do they do anything else on regular days for Halloween which I thought thats what it was, just goes on everyday through the Halloween season all day long. I read on Universal site today that its only weekends or starts Thurs-Sun and 31st? Thanks for the info. ;)

HHN is a separate event that requires it's own ticket. It's held Thursdays through Sunday nights. During the day, you can see some of the decorations up but not many. Check out: www.halloweenhorrornights.com for more information.

Thanks! We were expecting to go Dec now we may change and go next month. Never knew exactly what it was, :confused3 , thought it was just some "extras" done around Halloween time. Sounds like a lot of fun, hopefully not toooooooooo scary hehe, but my husband is really psyched. :scared1:

I will be there Saturday :yay: :yay:
I have been looking forward to Halloween Horror Nights 17 ever since HHN 16 ended last year:goodvibes

I have seen tons of pictures from inside the park and heard from people who went to rehearsals and I think this year is going to be :scared1:

Nice! 22 more days and I'll be walking through there! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :) :goodvibes

I went last night with an employee that had a ticket for the preview. It was only from 7:30 to 11 so I didnt get a chance to do everything. I went on Friday the 13th, Vampires one, Jason, The clown house, and saw the Bill and Teds show. This was a scaled down version to some degree with not as many scare actors as normal but I went free so I'm not complaining. I had not seen any of the associated movies to the characters but still enjoyed the scenery and scares. In years past, I noticed most of the houses were really dark w/ strobe lights throughout. This year, at least the ones I went on, were a little more lit so you could see where you were going (probably had accidents- I ran into a wall a few times it was so dark) and strobe lights in just a few rooms rather than the whole house.

The longest wait was 30 min for Jason. I enjoyed this house. It had the 'camp' atmosphere as well as around 10 jasons in the house. One major complaint about this that I hope they do differently once it gets started- about 6 fans in sight in the que but only 1 on...incredibly hot. One good thing- a water fountain near the entrance to the house..I needed it.. My fav. house was The clown house- very well done and the glasses for the clown o vision was fun. It was very colorful with clowns everywhere and a lot to look at. Freddy was the first one I went on and was just 'ok.' I'm sure people have different experiences and it wasnt a normal night but not many scary people..saw freddy only once...regular staff workers inside the house scared me more than anything else.ha.they apologized for creeping up behind me. I didnt like Vampires at all but I already knew I wouldn't going into it. It was just a very short line so I went on. Girls dancing around/bar scene like they had in past ones. I was disappointed in Bill and Teds..I loved it in years past but this year I felt like it was one big plug for universal/nbc. This year, it was more tv shows/socialites than movie characters...of the movie characters, I had only seen 1 of them before. Also, before they had Captain Jack Sparrow but said something about not being able to have him this year so I guess Disney didnt like him being used..although I'm sure they had Disney's permission before. It was entertaining but not that funny. I spent a lot of time waiting in line for the show and seeing the show.. I wish I skipped it and went on more houses instead.

I plan on going back sometime next month and seeing the remaining 4 houses I have yet to see.

Good to hear it was atleast alittle more lit and less strobes than years past, I ran into a scareactor on accident (just a bump) last time.

I dunno...I rather like strobes and the way they make people stumble around myself. One of my favorite houses in the Chicago burbs would pop you in the face with a stobe until all your eyes could see was the flash, then spin you around, push you into the dark, turn off the lights, and slam the entrance door. Talk about disorienting!!! It was called Silo X...sadly, I don't think they have it anymore.

I hope they do tone down the strobe lights. they give me a major headache.

if anyone happens to be around Birmingham Alabama (in Leeds) in Oct. they have a haunted house attraction thats the largest indoor haunted house in the southeast. its called the Atrox factory and IMO it is 10X scarier than anything I have ever seen before. takes about 45 minutes to walk through. nothing but sheer horror. we are going on Fri. night to see Robert Englund who played Freddy Kreuger. he'll be there for pictures and autographs. :scared1: I go to HHN's every year, but the Atrox factory is the one I fear most every time. :scared1:

There were a few houses that had passages using strobes. But it was not overdone as it has been in the past.

Something worth mentioning -- if you are in the Vampyr Blood Bath house, I hope you get to see the vampire at the end extending his wings! Whoosh! Quite impressive and worth the house alone. :cheer2: Makes Buzz Lightyear's wings seem rather mundane. :lmao:

I saw him up on the ledge but he didn't swoop down when I went through.
