HHN- order of houses

So~ since we will be at Finnegans, how does this sound as a good order to do the houses: Silent Hill
Gothic
Dead End
Walking Dead
House of Horrors
Alice Cooper
Penn & Teller

Does this make the most sense?

Thanks!

If I only had one night, and not enough time , I would skip the 20 Penny Circus as far as shows go, and skip Alice Cooper ( unless you are a huge fan and could understand the theme). If I had to skip another house I would skip Dead End.

For me, Gothic was the most amazing house I have ever seen. Just my two cents. :-)

I would do House of Horrors and Alice last. Those lines have been the shortest. Lines are the longest for Silent Hill, Walking Dead and Penn & Teller. Try to avoid Walking Dead and Penn & Teller right after a Bill & Ted show lets out. The crowds there really swell then.

I would do:

Silent Hill
Gothic
Dead End
Walking Dead
Penn & Teller
House of Horrors
Alice Cooper

Dead End was a good house, and I got the best scare of the night in there. One of the mirror girls got me good...

Gothic is a must see. The quality of the costumes and the set detail are amazing! There are even TWO flying gargoyles!

Agree completely and the same creature gets me every time I go through Gothic...even when I'm looking for him!

I was so impressed by the room where it looked like you were above the pews, that I didn't see the gargoyle at the end of the path! He got me, though! :rotfl:

I was planning on going Sunday 10/14. Will the lines be manageable, of u think?
Last Sunday night the lines got pretty long quickly which was surprising to me. If you have the money in your budget for an Express pass, I would consider it otherwise it's going to be a long night.

We will be there for our first HHN a week from tomorrow! So excited!!! How fast do you think the ep's will sell out next Thursday? Should we get them right away or wait and see if one is needed? I am thinking the guideline of waiting to buy ep's until you see if you really need one is not the same for HHN as it is for parks.

If you want EPs for next Thursday, you should go ahead and purchase now. If you wait until you arrive, they will either sell out or you'll have to wait in the long lines to purchase.

Can I buy them at the park during normal park hours?

And thanks for all your help Metro- you are helping this trip be more awsome than I could have done myself. Your insights and fast answers mean more than I can say. May sound cheesey, and maybe I'm just tired right now, but you are making a difference in our trip. Thanks.

Yes...you can buy them during the day at Guest Services. Just make sure you tell them you want the EP for HHN.

You are welcome...I just try to answer questions based on my nine years of HHN experience. I hope you have a great time!

If going on Thursday 10/11 and doing park and HHN would we still need the express pass to be able to see everything?

It's hard to tell. Some nights it's really busy when you weren't expecting it to be but other nights are slammed. Thursdays are normally slower but again, there's no way to tell. All I can say is...if you want EPs, then you should go ahead and purchase.

It's been my experience thus far that sundays and thursdays have been pretty busy, due to the cheaper ticket options. The express lines have sometimes been longer those nights than on fri/sat, but it's still better than waiting 60+ mins in standby.

We did the S&S on the first Saturday and we were corralled at Finnegans

We were moving fast and were able to do all the houses and Bill and Ted in this order:

Silent Hill
Gothic
Dead End
Walking Dead
Penn and Teller
Alice Cooper
Bill and Ted
House of Horrors

We liked it so much we upgraded our tickets to Rush of Fear and went back the following Friday. Man, S&S is the way to go.

On the Friday, we were only able to do:
Silent Hill
Gothic
20 Penny Circus

I thought it was smart to do the front houses first since these were the ones people coming in when the gates open would hit first. It worked well for us.
