HHN on Oct. 29th

metro is right as usual.

the ending period of HHN is usually crowded.
buy the epp when you go.

Just wanted to add my experience...
We attended HHN last year on the Thursday (10/30) before Halloween. We did S&S and had Express. We toured 3 houses without Express (not much of a wait) when we were first let out of the holding area, then ALL houses with Express, Bill & Ted's and Brian Bushwood (not in that order). The only thing we didn't do was Rocky Horror as we weren't interested in seeing it. We had time to tour each of the scare zones numerous times and we even managed to have time to eat pizza, have a couple blood bags and do a bit of shopping. We only do food, drinks & shopping after we've finished seeing everything we want to see. Yes, it was crowded but not uncomfortably so. As 2 of the experts (that would be Metro & Macraven, of course) already said...get Express (and do S&S) and everything will be fine. :)

How much do the express passes cost? BEcause I'm going with a family of four and my dad will have to dish out the extra cash for all of us...

thanks for the kind words about metro and myself.

the last few years the crowds have been very manageable on the actual Halloween night when it has not been a weekend date. can't say that will happen again for 09.

the nights before Halloween are a hit and miss for crowds. if the final week of hhn is on a weekend, look for crowds.

to go on the 29th a thursday is anyone's guess of crowd level.

we do know that the last weekend for HHN, gets very crowded.

i found that going on the third week that included a thursday last year, was a decent manageable crowd. it was far better than the sunday

to do everything that alliecat stated they did, follow her plan.

be at the stay and scream area and wait there.
do the houses that are open prior to the general admission at 6:30.
you will be ahead of that large crowd then.
what they will go to you can leave and hit the other houses that have opened at 6:30 and later 7:00

buy the epp in order to secure less waits in lines for houses and shows.

even with crowds, you can do a lot if you plan it in advance.

if the 3 hotels are at 98% occupancy for the time period you are going, you can figure the parks will be crowded.

many people book on site for the HHN event they will attend.

The new prices haven't been released yet but last year...it was either $69.99 or $39.99 (I think) depending on the night. Peak nights are a lot more expensive and they are no discounts available on the EPs.
