I've read a rumor that team members have been scheduled for HHN on November 4th and 5th, in order to make up for the nights missed because of Hurricane Matthew. Has anyone else heard this? Of course it's not official until Universal confirms it, but I'm kind of hoping. I'm seriously considering trying to add HHN tickets if any are available for that Friday night as a surprise for my friend. We'll be there the 2nd-7th.

Yep, been a rumour for a while......

Looks positive.

UO lost a lot of revenue those days the parks were closed
That Saturday they reopened had the lightest attendance for Hhn

Think they want to make up the money lost

Have no idea how it will be staffed in November
Peeps that work the event would need to reschedule their lives to accomadate this add on and do another weekend

If it does go through maybe it will still bring in the crowds

I'm sure UO will make an announcement soon about the extension

If they don't announce it soon people can't plan to attend. Wish we were staying through the weekend cause I think it will be lighter crowds than 30/31 being it is such a last minute extension and all.

I just saw this rumor and just noticed that US is closing at 6 pm on that Fri, Sat, and Sun which is the 3 days we are there. I am very bummed about this! We have less than zero interest in attending HHN (my 7 year old would be terrified) and I'm not thrilled with our park hours getting cut so short, they were originally until 8 pm when I booked the trip. I know "park hours are subject to change" yada yada, but it still sucks for my family. We really wanted to see Diagon Alley at night in the dark, guess that's not going to happen.

I'm also very concerned about crowds that entire weekend because every onsite hotel but CB is totally booked and not showing any availability. Even the Hoiday Inn across the street doesn't have any regular rooms left....

I do have to add though that I'm very thankful that I listened to peeps on this board and booked my room for RPR for that Saturday night instead of waiting for the APH discounts to be released. Those discounts never happened and that Saturday has been unavailable for quite awhile now, I would have been SOL if I'd waited! At least we'll have express passes for that Sat and Sun.

I am concerned though with it being totally booked, does anyone know if RPR OVERbooks? Some hotels do that and I've had the unfortunate experience of arriving to be told that there are no rooms left even though we had a reservation. I'm not too terribly worried just because we do plan to arrive and check in at 7 am so we can get our express passes and they should hopefully not be out of rooms that early in the day. But I'm a little concerned because if they were going to bump anyone it would likely be someone with a one night reservation like myself.

I would not worry
Only the studios will close at 6
Guessing ioa will stay open longer

HHN is now showing up as an available add-on for vacation packages with those dates (Nov 4 and 5) on UOR website, but when I just called to ask, the rep I spoke to said she could not confirm it was happening or give me prices to buy tickets. She said to keep checking.

Call again as it might not have been in the system when you first called

Just looked at other sites and the extension for Hhn is listed in all of them

Call now and if a rep tells you it is not available ask to speak to a supervisor

You might have talked to someone that did not read the updates

Thanks for the help, everyone! I got my HHN tickets for November 4th! I stalked the site all morning and it finally updated, so I just ordered them online rather than calling again (I am not a phone person, every call is a panic-inducing struggle). So excited!

Right with you. Argh. That's why they changed the schedule?? So frustrating. We chose to not go during HHN season deliberately. And the schedule change means the only 8 pm park night during our visit is gone. Doesn't USF typically close at 5 pm on party nights? Just wondering if there's going to be another reduction in hours coming.

EDIT: And I just looked it up and Sat is now closed at 5 as of today. *sigh*. I need to revisit the plan ... again.

Where are you finding the hours posted? I have looked at the Universal Site and all I'm finding is the time it opens. I'm sure I'm just not clicking on the right spot.
TIA

This sucks! And they switched the early entry park from IOA to US each day.

We are there the 5th, 6th and 7th, our first trip. Very disappointed that the hours keep changing and US closes at 5, 6 and 7 those nights. Maybe if we all complained, they would consider extending the hours for the non-party dates until 8 since this is a huge bummer for those of us not wanting to be there during HHN.

Probably won't work

If they don't have available staff to extend the hours, it won't fly

I already have a four day pass purchased and will be attending both November 4th and 5th. Can we purchase a lower priced "add on" to our existing ticket or will the HHN tickets still be $60-65 no matter if you attend during the day or not?

I have not looked but check the Hhn website about add on ticket costs

When I went to Hhn this month, the add on was cheaper than the regular price

If you have any valid park day ticket
(For any day) that qualified me in buying the Hhn add on ticket

Website should have price info
