Well, limited budget & all we are committing to a Universal Trip in October 11- 18.

DS 12 & DH want to do HHN -- When do I need to get tickets for this? What is the best type while also trying to keep a limited budget? Standing in long lines won't be fun for them, so I do want to buy some kind of pass

I already have the 7 days passes for the family.

Only 1 of us has airfare booked (Dockers special)

I have a skyauction getawayweeks I'm planning to use -- Anyone recommend RCI or other nearby condos?

We are on a limited budget & I'd prefer to not do SeaWorld, etc for the cost -- any other recommendations for often overlooked Orlando or nearby attractions? Do I even need anything other than Universal? It would be nice to get aprent "relaxation" mixed in with the kid go-go-go

The tickets for HHN won't go sale until late this summer. Since you're on a budget, they will need to go on an off-peak night (Thursday or Sunday). The Express Passes are reasonable those nights. We'll know more about ticket prices in the summer.

My parents are with RCI and seem to like it.

I would stick with Universal but you can always go to Wet 'n' Wild for a day.

Metro West - do you remember when we usually start hearing tid bits about the event, like theme and shows. I am starting to get antsy already!!

I think it was in mid to late June when the website started showing stuff and then slowly it would increase through the summer.

Thanks. I'll start checking in mid June for the HHN.

Sunday night would be ideal night for them to go!

We will be there last week of October. Will it be going on Wednesday October 29?

They usually have one Wednesday night but we won't know until later in the summer when the complete schedule is released. In the past, the Wednesday night has usually been in the middle of the month but since that's the last week, they might...it's just too early to tell.

As Metro said we won't hear anything until at least June/July but just so you are aware I believe the general admission ticket for 1 night at HHN last year was $65. The Express Pass for non-peak nights was about $36 and peak nights (weekends) were close to $65.

There were also options for a "stay and scream" pass in which you would be at the park during the day and then stay for HHN that same evening - although I don't remember what the cost of those tickets were (I think between $25 and $50 depending on which day you chose).

Bonny

This is so frustrating. We were wondering if they would have one on the 29th as well so that I can book our airline tickets. And if they had one on the 28thm we'd come in a day earlier and actually stay at Universal for the night. I don't know why the hold out for so long.

ETA:
I just looked at the HHN website from last week and all dates seemed to be Thurs. - Sunday

If they have a Wednesday night this year, it will be around the middle of the month of October...if history holds.
