Looked at the website and it seems that these are really for adults. Definitely not for my 9 year old, but what about my 15 year old? Does anyone take their teens? Or is it too much (he is a pretty sheltered - as far as mom knows, ha! - 15 year old).

A 15 yo who is not afraid of horror movies should handle it fine. But...if he's not into horror or in your face stuff, you might want to skip it.

I was 16 when I first started working on US - I LOVED HHN while I worked, and while I was there as a guest. It's pretty intense (and much more so now than it was 12 years ago - eek, don't do the math hahahahaha)

My son was 13 last year and doesn`t watch horror movies at all. But when he knew we were coming back to Orlando same time this year the first thing he said was can we do HHN again.
We all loved it and I wouldn`t say it was too extreme fo a 15 year old. My son is not a nervous boy at all, but quite shy, but he found the whole evening a blast and still talks about it more than any other night that we had (and we had a fantastic fortnight).
I would say give it a go and if you don`t think the Haunted Houses are right for him then give them a miss and just experience the rest of what`s on offer.
The atmosphere is fantastic, I`m sure he will love it :)

'how old for HHN??' ....well, i'm 34 - so from my one and only experience - I guess the minimum age should really be at least 35!!! :lmao: (I'm certainly not quite brave enough to try it again quite yet!!):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My DS14 loves horror movies, and loved HHN last year. But they are alot of adult theming.I would not let my DS do it by himself of coarse. But if he can do horror movies, should be fine!!!!!!!!!

The fifteen year old would probably be ok, I would leave the 9 year old with a sitter.

I also wanted to add that it isn't just horror- the Rocky Horror Picture Show can be rather sexually explicit for a sheltered 15 year old boy ;)

Yeah...we saw a lot of people walking out of the show about 15 mins into it. I guess they didn't know what it was about. :sad2:

I need to know if the preformers ever touch the guest's? My husband and I worked in Max prisons with the type people from your worst nightmares and don't find watching people do painful things very scary, but don't like being grabbed. So just trying to find out if they are allowed to touch the guests?

No touching either way...they have kicked people out of the park for doing that.

I ran into one of the scareactors carrying a chainsaw last year, screamed right in his face I got such a shock, poor guy . I apologised straight way and the guy who plays the sherriff came and apologised to me for the clash!!! By that time the chainsaw guy was on to someone else.
Love it when a guy in a uniform calls you Ma`am:confused3
But we did notice that no-one gets touched in any way, just good clean scares   :cool1:

Thank you all so much for such fast answers. If we do get to go I won't worry about anything now.:thumbsup2
Usually...the line going into a house is worse. I always seem to have a short female behind me...most of the time she's with another group) and the female is grabbing my shirt and saying I'm sorry the whole time. I just laugh and go with the flow.
