Just found out that hhn express for 10/21 sold out a few hours ago. Is there any other way to buy them besides online or thru universal customer service? Can't believe we were waiting on one of our group's member's decision to purchase or not and now none of our group gets express, didn't realize Sundays would sell out so early!

You're not alone there, Sunny. I just went through the same thing on their site.

Same situation - waiting on someone to confirm or back out. I got the confirmation today and believed I was still safe since the website didn't list the 21st as being sold out (in fact, it still doesn't say it). Plopped down to buy them and got the "nyah nyah" from the ticketing site.

If you're doing Stay and Scream, you can hit 4 or 5 houses back to back to back without having to do too much waiting (starting with Dead Silence and working your way around the back of the park), but the last few houses will be a bit trickier...

Ugh! Shaking of fist! Loud noises! This trip has been plagued by people backing out left and right. Next year, I'm making people give me non-refundable deposits so stupid junk like this doesn't happen again.

For S & S, the first house you'll do NOES and then you should head down for Psychoscareapy. Dead Silence doesn't open until 7pm so I would skip that until later in the night. Friday the 13th doesn't have much of a line early on and Vampyr: Blood Bath never has a line. I wouldn't wait for DS right at first.

Metro West and mulchpuppy, thanks for the tips, I'm going to follow your advice. We need all the insider info we can get! Anyone else have any good touring advice to add?

mulchpuppy, it is infuriating isn't it? i was still able to put things in my cart just a few hours before and the ticket site continued to say the 21st was available while i was trying to purchase so imagine my surprise and disappointment. Oh well, hope its a great night for both of us!

Ah - I didn't realize Dead Silence was a late opener. I just assumed we took a wrong turn when we started with NOES. Are there any other late openers?

We were at HHN on Sunday for the tail-end of our honeymoon (we're romantics, I know ;) ) and we were staying at Hard Rock. We didn't know the express passes had been sold out, but when we went to buy them on Saturday, the day before, we were informed that they keep some set aside specifically for the people staying at the resorts, so we were able to get two even though they were otherwise unavailable! So glad we did, too, because those lines were awful otherwise. If you can, try and get a night at the Hard Rock or one of the other resorts if you really need those passes, and I do recommend it!

Because we were there early, we were able to hit the first four nearest houses (Nightmare on Elm, Psychoscareapy, Vampyr, and Chainsaw Massacre) without even using our express, since they're only good once at each attraction. We finished up around 10:30 with those four available on our passes, so we grabbed a couple at random out of the regular line at the Freddy House and gave them our passes. They were so thrilled! And I'm glad they got them too, because all the waits were over an hour by then -- no way they'd have made it through waiting in line! If anyone else has the opportunity to do this for someone, I really encourage it, because it really lets you make someone's day. And after all, we weren't using them!
