Hi all -

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't seem to find it. We'll be going to Orlando in mid-September, with one day at Universal Studios Florida. We have an infant and our group generally isn't into being scared, so won't be attending HHN. However, for various reasons it looks like the best day for going to USF would be on a HHN day (Thursday). So my question is, how busy does the park get in the afternoon? If we plan to get there at rope drop, will we likely be able to do most of the park before it closes? We're very interested in Harry Potter, but will also want to do the other rides as well.

Thanks!

mid september, would think no problem.

my take during various visits the 1st two weeks in October is crowds don't start to build until after 3 pm (guests enter to get into one of the holding areas and skip the line outside later).

For that weekday in September, not an issue

Peeps won't take a day off work and kids won't skip school that early in the Hhn season

I would not expect park crowds for your thursday

Thank you both for your thoughts! That makes me feel a lot better about our plan. And hey, the park closing at 5pm will give us a nice excuse to head out and try one of the Citywalk restaurants for dinner!

Just a heads up that when the parks close at 5, many hit city walk for food

Either be in city walk around 5 or around 6 if you want to do dinner with jimmy buffet/margraritavile

There are some that go there to eat an early meal/ or do drinks and then leave about 6 for the Hhn line

Thursday's can be decent though at city walk
So should not be a problem if you eat there

Do both parks close at 5 on HHN?

No, IOA will stay open later.
If you bought park 2 park tickets, switch from the studios when it closes early to IOA.

Eat at city walk later in the evening.
