HHN 18 - What would you like to see?

I would love to see something related to The Shining...that's my all time favorite horror flick. They do something with zombies every year. Deadtropolis was a cool house from 2004 but the "scare zone" last year left much to be desired.

There was a scare zone last year?

:rotfl:

Nothing against the scareactors--they always do a great job! But the planning of said zones could have been better. However I was very happy with the houses with the exception of 1.

LOL - I thought I was the only person who liked RZ's version! It has been absolutely slated in all the reviews I read.

Metro West or Macraven are the guys with all the info - I'm sure one of them will be kind enough to let us know when the tickets go on sale.

Schumigirl - we're thinking about going for the RIP tour on opening night - interested?

go to the thread i started.
click on the link to see the ticket prices.
$69.99

the ap rate probably will be out later in june.

I liked all of the houses last year but the "Deadtropolis" scare zone was pretty bad...nothing like Fright Yard or Field of Screams.

Last year's streets really were a bummer. I hope they step it up this year.

And Deadtropolis freaked me out... but that was more because it reminded me of the WTO riots in downtown Seattle (where I worked at the time) with the smoke, "military/police" presence, sirens, etc., than the zombies. ;)

yea todd...........and shall i now tell the story of how you got scared and jumped 2 feet that night??
:rolleyes1

I must say I loved the scare zones at Islands, with those people that came out of the stone walls and camlaflouged and the street filled with bubbles, o.k. maybe not a scare zone but still fun.

All DH cares about are the dancing women all chained up. I can barley get him to budge.

*Hopefully* we aren't too far away from finding out the theme of this year's HHN and what houses we can expect.

You guys are the experts - you know what kind of thing would work best - so what houses would you like ot see this year?

I would do anything for a Halloween house, Michael scares the life out of me!

And I would love to see Freddy or Jason return as I wasn't there last year :(

And something along the lines of Resident Evil would be cool, maybe the Res Evil Mansion?

UO did buy the license to reuse some of last years characters. i would not doubt to see some of them again this year.

there was a survey that was sent out to some of the hhn fans earlier this year. it stated not to post the info on boards so i can't give any hints on what to expect this year.

some here on the thread might have received this second survey like i did.
it gives you an idea of what to expect possibly for this hhn season.

Thanks for the invite, I would do the RIP tour in a second but DH can`t be persuaded and beieve me i`ve tried;) I think he thinks we`ve spent so much money already on tickets, 14 day Disney Park Hopper, 7 Day Universal(fab buy) and then Seaworld and of course the HHN tics. Just out of interest how much was the RIP tour last year? I like to be able to give him a "figure" to work with in case i can "persuade" him. Just thought as well, our son is 14 is there an age limit on these tours?:)

if a child is under age 18, they can do the RIP tour as long as a parent is on the tour also.

last year for a non peak night i paid about $119 or 120 with the ap discount.
w/o the discount it ran $125. plus tax
the peak night RIP tours were at a higher price. you get an additional hour on the peak night tours.

with the crowds, i do the RIP for one of the 4 nights i attend HHN.
to me it is worth it.

I'm hoping for some Stephen King stuff. The Shining or Pet Sematary would be very cool.

I like zombie movies; Dawn of the Dead and stuff like that so that would be cool.

if you read 2 other sites (can't mention them here as one would be *** out)
you will get more perspective on what is possible for this year deanna.
i think you will like it!

I'm not as picky as to what "theme" they come up with and houses and all, as long as they have MORE SCARE ZONES than last year!

mike, didn't you take that second survey also?

i loved the scare zones from years' past also.....

I have no idea what you are talking about. :confused3

ok, i'll keep it a secret.
that way when we go this year todd, you won't repeat my oops on a message board...........

Oh yeah, I gave them my opinion!!!!!!

Me too. Hopefully are taking the suggestions that were given,

I do keep up on the other sites. I don't post much but I do read them.

question...
John Carpenter's the thing is one of fave movies. how was that exhibit at HHN last year?

one of the greatest things i have done at HHN is the day tour.

you learn so much about the houses as you take a guided tour through 3 of them in the daytime.

if you are a scaredy cat, this tour will help you realize what the houses are like with all the lights on. it will encourage you to try the night hhn event maybe.

you get to take all the pictures you wish during the day tour. you are given background info on the theme and house set ups. you can find many hidden treasures that you can miss in the night time when going thru them.

the day tour is fabulous.

please go to this thread and help me save the tours.

thanx......

the houses have been listed before on another thread, but it is always great to see them listed again.

will you be getting your cousin in trouble by stating what he does for HHN?
i thought confidentiality was part of the job prior to UO's announcement for what to expect.

i do know another board listed them a few weeks back.
so that is not a secret. each year, we hear more and more earlier before the haunting season begins........

thanks for sharing

Guess I missed that list. I was pretty sure about the theme, though, considering that survey we took. Thanks HHNGOD for the post........I am so excited I'm about to come out of my skin. Only 92 days to go.........
