My DH and I will be spending a week at Hilton Head in April. His brother is coming along and the two of them are going to do some golfing. My goal is to relax and read as much as I want :-). Would love to have a unit that looks out over the marsh areas. Can someone recommend a unit I should ask for? I know I won't necessarily get it, but I can at least ask.

Also -- if there are any golfers out there who really like a certain golf course, let me know and I will pass it along.

Thanks in advance for any advice I get.

Buildings 14 and 15 are my favorite. You get the added bonus of an extra balcony off the secondary bedroom.

I would make marsh view my first request, and then if you have a specific building you can add that as a secondary request. For a 2-BR, I love Buildings 31 and 29 in that order.

I noticed the second balcony on our last trip. Those buildings do look a little more interesting to me now. But I'm not sure I want the foot traffic from the boardwalk in front of my balcony. What I love about all the other marsh-view 2-BRs is there are no pathways in front of the balconies.

we hardly noticed people, but we were also there in late December/early January :) We requested the same building for next week since we are traveling with another family, the extra balcony really makes that secondary bedroom feel larger.

We are going in July with the whole family (maybe), and I'm going to have a hard time deciding what to request. I'll probably stick with Buildings 31 or 29 just because my sons spend most of their time at the fishing pier and I doubt would even notice they have a balcony off their bedroom! :rotfl:

2BR buildings with a marsh view: 13, 14, 15, 18, 22, 24, 27, 29, and 31. Any of them would have good to very good views. 24 and 27 are closest to the pool/mercantile area which may or may not be a good thing for you.

And I've known several people who've seen dolphins going by from building 31. They may go by other buildings too (we've seen them from the Main Lodge), but building 31 is the one I've heard of.

Room 2921. We request it every year. 2nd floor, marsh view, close to bocce ball court and quick walk to parking, plus a 1 min walk to the pool and QS.

Live Oak Lodge was nice on 3rd floor if you need elevator access.
It was also nice parking under the Lodge and riding elevator up with your stuff.

How do you request a specific room? I only see an option to request a high vs low room or island vs marsh view.
Thank you
